To celebrate Creative Arts week, the junior and senior art students are invited to take part in a variety of activities throughout the week. The activities include work on the sets and props for the upcoming production of Seussical. Junior students will be working on the Whoville backdrop, as well as creating a number of large-scale papier mache eggs that will be used as props. Senior Students will have the opportunity to paint ‘Palm Beach’ and ‘Jungle’ scenery in flamboyant colour and style. It is wonderful that the students can be part of the exciting preparations.

Primary Bookfair - Parent Helpers Required Yes . . .It's that time again! Later this term the Library will be running a bookfair in Rembrandts. We require some enthusiastic parent helpers to assist with selling books & stationery OR being a welcomer/ general helper. Time can be counted as your parent assistance hours. The bookfair will be held on Wed 20th, Thurs 21st and Fri 22nd June. Help is sought for the following sessions *Morning - 8.20am - 9.20am *Lunch - 1.00pm - 1.45pm *Afternoon - 2.50 - 3.50pm There will be 9 sessions in total. If you are available for 2 or more of these sessions and would like to assist, please let the library know. A diary note, an email or a visit will do. Let us know which 2 or 3 sessions suit you and we will happily sign you up! You may even get to wear a funny hat and smile a lot! Joanne Edwards—Librarian
Advice Of Student Absences From Monday 14th May we will advise parents and guardians by SMS if a student is absent from the morning roll call, and we have not received written notification. If a phone call has been made to notify of absence you will still receive an SMS, and you can then reply to the SMS and that can be counted as the official advice for the College records. To advise of a student’s absence, it is best to email attendance@standrews.vic.edu.au by 9.00am of the day the student is absent. We ask for your patience if we encounter any ‘teething’ problems with the introduction of this new system. Darren Waterworth - Business Manager

Lost Property Just a reminder for all parents/guardians to check the lost property in the office. If not collected, all DRINK BOTTLES & PLASTIC CONTAINERS will be discarded on Friday 1st of June. All other lost property will be given to charity or thrown out at the end of term. The Office Staff
Parent Hours: Cleaning Windows Our classroom windows are in need of cleaning just before school tours and our Open Day. Any parents wanting to make up parent hours can contact Melanie Lepileo, Registrar (enrolments@standrews.vic.edu.au or 9800 2922) to put your name down to clean the windows. Seussical Corner Speakers required: If anyone has any spare speakers for computers could they please bring them to Miss Berry 3B who will give them to class teachers to use in their classrooms so that the students can practice their songs in class. Thanks for your support,
