Mike Hutzel,’90 (pictured below) is the CEO and Founder of EagleONE and often is featured on businessradiox.com podcast. Mike has both an undergraduate and graduate degree from The Ohio State University. He also serves as the Membership Director for Knights of Columbus Council 13813, Lay Spiritual Director of Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) Ministry.

Jay Moriarty ’64 was interviewed on camera for CNN’s upcoming eight-part Special Series titled HISTORY OF SITCOM which will air this fall. Jay discusses his work as a writer/ producer on series such as All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Maude, Good Times, Dear John, Cosby and more. In addition to his work in TV, Jay has served as an Adjunct Professor in the Writing Division of the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts (film school) for eleven years. Jay is the author of the book HONKY IN THE HOUSE, Writing & Producing The Jeffersons, which tells his story of leaving Ohio for Hollywood and takes readers behind the scenes of that “Dee-Luxe Apartment in the Sky.” The book is available online at Amazon or wherever side-splitting books are sold.

Bill Steiden ’78 is marking a year and a half as the investigative and business editor at the Des Moines Register. It’s his latest step in his journalism career that also has taken him to Columbus, Sarasota and Atlanta.

Matt Moran ’87 and Mike Nead ’87 work together on a podcast “With Gratitude Matt”. Moran uses his perspective on life as he fights his battle with kidney cancer to help others who are facing adversity in their own lives. He finds gratitude in times of struggle. Recently he has had fellow Bombers Steve Specht ’86 and John Ravenna ’87 as guests.

Kristoffer Bruvold ’92 was part of the successful Mars rover landing in 2021. Fellow graduate and Ohio State roommate, Matthew Hood ’92 said, “He knew exactly what job he wanted, and he worked his butt off to make it a reality. The first photo is from the 2018 MARS landing, he’s working from home this time. It’s landing now!”

Ed Quinn ’65 recently received the Steven Dodson “Excellence in Umpiring” Award. This award is given annually to a GNOA (Greater Naples Officials Association) primary umpire that exemplifies the skill, professionalism, and attitude that it takes to be a successful umpire. The award recognizes that he possesses a positive attitude and personality to be a topnotch umpire and umpire trainer.
