Types of SEO and its Features

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It is used to increase the quality and quantity of website traffic. It also increases brand awareness through non-paid known as “organic” search engine results.

It fulfils the need of the users by providing them high quality and relevant content that they were searching for on the search engines. This increases the credibility and trust of the user.

SEO is an important asset in improving ranking positions. In simpler terms, better ranking equals better traffic. That is why it is important to use SEO to create more brand awareness and high order.

There are three types of SEO- On Page SEO, Off Page SEO, and Technical SEO.

This is a structured data vocabulary that helps search engines understand the content of websites. Found at Schema.org, it helps in creating rich snippets that appear in search results which helps in better ranking and appearance in SERPs.

Sitemap

It is a file where you provide information about pages, videos, and other files on the site. Google and other search engines read this file to crawl the site. A site Map is needed in case of a large archive of isolated content pages, a new site with few external links, etc.

RobotTags

Also known as Robot Meta Tags are the part of HTML code that is placed in <head></head> section of a web page and used to control how search engines index the URL.

Robot.txt File

Defined by Google, “A robots.txt file tells search engine crawlers which URLs the crawler can access on your site”. This is part of the robots exclusion protocol (REP), which governs how robots crawl, access, and index websites.

Page Load Speed

The time it takes for a web page to load. Page loading speed is determined by many factors such as the site’s server, page filesize, and image compression. Google uses it as a ranking factor meaning, high page loading speed result in higher ranking and vice versa.
