TheSleepyThompsonBoysBasketballTournamentbeganin1957andisnamedafterlongtime coachandAthleticDirectorAlbertL “Sleepy”Thompson,Jr (1925–1992) SleepybelievedthatSt Stephen’sSchoolwastheplaceonearthhecouldmakethebestandgreatestimpactonyoungmen As such,hespenthismanyyearsattheschoolbuildingtheathleticprogram.WenotonlyhonorSleepy eachyearinthenameofthisfantastictournament,butwealsohonorhimbyourcommitmentto continuinghisspirit:keepingthisthebestandgreatestplaceonearthforteachersandcoachesto makeanimpactonyoungpeople.

Thisyearweareexcitedtowelcomebackouralumswhoweremembersofthe1985SaintsVarsity basketballteamastheycelebratetheir40thanniversaryoftheirmilestoneSleepywin(andanIAC Championship!).

First Sleepy Thompson Championship in 19 Years: The Saints ended a nearly twodecade title drought, capturing the program’s first Sleepy Thompson victory since 1966.
