DANCE/Strasser Inspired by everything from world events to their own lives, our student choreographers mesh their choreographic vocabulary with their personal style. MFA Thesis Concerts Stephen Petronio Company In residency at The College at Brockport. Contact the Department of Dance (585-395-2153) for details about open classes and lecture/demonstration. Friday – Monday, February 7 – 10 This project is made possible with funds from the NYS DanceForce, a partnership program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
The graduate dance program at Brockport merges studio-centered dance technique and choreography with dance education, aesthetics, and production. These studies balance the physical with the conceptual; this concert is the creative capstone for our graduate students.

ALL EYES ON THE ARTS
When I arrived on campus, it was for a one-year temporary appointment. I came here for a job, but found a home. The College at Brockport is your family, making sure that you reach your full potential, whether you are a student, a faculty or staff member, or a community member. Around our campus we are constantly asking ourselves “Why Brockport?” Why should students attend The College at Brockport? Why should faculty teach here or staff work here?
Tickets prices: $17, $12 (Senior Citizens, Brockport Alumni, Staff and Faculty), $9 (Students), unless otherwise noted. There will be a limited number of $5 Community Preview tickets for most events. No attendance cards or programs will be distributed at these performances which will not qualify for student attendance.
Donations accepted at the door. This event is free, but tickets are required. Performances begin at 7:30 pm and continue until 9:30 pm. Tower Fine Arts Center The celebration begins with open galleries and a reception at 7 pm.
It means that the College can be a cultural center for the region, too, as reflected by the diverse and entertaining events found within these pages. We want you, our neighbors and friends—and family—to think of this as your campus, as well. Attend a concert. See a show or an exhibit, and then share what you have seen on campus with your friends through social media, or even a chat with others face-to-face.
You’re invited to come “pARTy” with us!
Part of the College’s strategic plan is to deepen our engagement with our community. This is why students volunteer at dozens of non-profits in the Village and Rochester during their Saturday of Service each year. It is why the campus and the community are partners on a new dock on the canal, to help support a rowing team, or why the myriad 5K runs for charitable organizations take routes through campus. These are just a few examples of many other, similar endeavors.
To celebrate the arts, students, faculty, and alumni from the School of Arts and Sciences will come together for a festivalstyled evening of performances, readings, art installations, food and fun. The pARTy is designed as a smorgasbord, during which you can take in as many of the 10-15 minute presentations as you want, wander through the galleries, listen to some music, or socialize with fans of the arts at Brockport. With some—but not all—of the performances being presented more than once arrive at your convenience and stay for as long as you want. Performance time and purchasing information TBA.
