Saturday Evening Prayer St. John’s Day With the Society of St. John the Evangelist The Regina Coeli This devotion to the Incarnation precedes the Office during Easter Season.

Officiant O Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia, People For he whom you were worthy to bear, alleluia, Officiant Has arisen, as he said, alleluia. People Pray for us to God, alleluia. Officiant Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia, People For the Lord is risen indeed, alleluia. Officiant Let us pray. O God, who by the resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ gave gladness to the world: Grant, we pray, that we, aided by the prayers of the Virgin Mary his mother, may attain to the joys of everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Opening Versicle and Response Officiant O God, make speed to save us. People O Lord, make haste to help us. Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: * as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen. Alleluia.
