International English Language Testing System IELTS is International English Language Testing System. IELTS test assesses your abilities in Reading, Writing, Listening and speaking. Two types of IELTS training are Academic and General training. Listening and Speaking are the same for both test, but subject matter of the Reading and Writing section differs depending on which test you take. The total test time is 2 Hrs and 45 minutes. The Writing, Reading and Listening sections are completed on same day, there are no break between them. IELTS Listening test includes,      

Multiple choice questions Matching Plan, Map, Diagram labelling Form, note, table, flow-chart, summary completion Sentence completion Short-answer questions

IELTS Speaking test includes,   

Introduction and Interview Long turn Discussion

Reading and Writing section differs depending on which test you take. Patterns of IELTS are, 1. Academic 2. General You should take the Academic version if you want to  

Study at university at undergraduate or postgraduate level Join a professional organization in an English-speaking county

You should take the General version if you want to   

Train or study at a level below that of degree Emigrate to an English speaking country Work or undertake work-related training in an English speaking country
