ABOUT In 2004, the folks at Penny Arcade decided they wanted a show exclusively to celebrate gaming and game culture. Comics, anime, and other nerd hobbies were all cool, but those activities already had their own shows…where could gamers call home? With that in mind, PAX was born, and when exactly 1337 people pre-registered for the very first event, we knew we were on to something magical​.

From our humble beginnings in the Meydenbauer, PAX has doubled in size each year until it hit venue capacities. At that point, we partnered with Reed Exhibitions and started bringing PAX to other cities around the world including Boston, San Antonio, and Melbourne, Australia.

Over the years, PAX has evolved with the times: embracing the cutting edge of technology with VR Freeplay, reaching out across the full spectrum of gamers via our Diversity Lounge, and building up immense game libraries for every genre and platform. Despite this, we’ve stayed true to our roots and a pretty surprising amount of what makes PAX what it is today existed way back in 2004. Freeplay, Tournaments, Enforcers, Expo Hall, Concerts,

Panels, and the Omegathon…it was all there. Just, y’know, on a much different scale.

Going forward, we hope to continue providing a space for gamers of every discipline to celebrate all games and the surrounding culture. No matter what your preferred genre or platform, if you love games, we hope you’ll find home at PAX.

Naughty Dog is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Interactive.

In 2013 the Naughty Dog launched its Renouned game: The last of us. The Last of Us has been a major hit, and the Metacritic User Poll results are not particularly surprising. TLoU had received similarly huge success following its release as well. The title had sold 1.3 million units within 7 days of its release. The sales figures proved it to be the biggest launch of an original title since the 2011 game LA Noire.

The Last of Us was one of the most beautiful games of the generation and was nothing short of an era-defining gem.

The Last of Us 2 is a sequel to the 2013 survival horror game ‘The Last of Us’ that was developed

by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The upcoming game title was launched in 2020 after a long wait of seven years.

The Omni is a locomotion simulator designed to work as a game controller, and allows gamers to walk within the game environment in which they are playing. It is used in tandem with the HTC Vive for a full virtual reality game setup. The surface is bowl-shaped and requires special low friction shoes or shoe covers. It uses inertial sensors to track a person’s position, the length of their stride, and how fast they are moving. The information is then sent to a computer which translates the data into the game movements.

The current Omni Harness design keeps the player stable in the Ring, without needing leg straps. As it rests on top of the support Ring, the player is able to turn rapidly while walking, jogging, or running, without the user having to rotate the vertical support along with them. Since its first release, the motion tracking has also improved, allowing for a wider range of player speed.

Omni One uses a vest instead of a harness, for increased comfort and freedom of movement, including crouching and jumping.

BRAIN STORMING

What is the objective for this booth?

The game was already launched a year ago on the Play Station platform, and this was an exclusive game. That meant that any person who doesn’t own a play station can’t enjoy it. The response af ter the launch of the first part was over the marks and that lead to the making of the second part, which also made it out the pretty great. But the only negative that the company faced was the fact that not everyone owns a play station.

Whlst considering the increasing population fot he playstation buyers, it still asked for a demand of the PC version of the game. To overcome this backlash, the Naughty Dog is launching a PC version of the said game. The main purpose of the game is to bring back the heat of the previously launched game through a merchandise spree and to give the PC gaming audience a simulation demo of the game. This would include a VR simulation experience, A PC gaming experience, and a walkthrough pass by. The aim is basically to familiarize the audience with the concept of the game because this is a game series, more people playing this game would mean that even more people will be attracted to the further releases. Also, when a thunder luke this would heat the fever of the game again, even the PS users might rejoin the game and this would lead to a greater good for both sony and the naughty dog.

How does the booth plan to appeal to the intended audience?

As mentioned above, The audience for the booth is the male gender of the age group 16-34.

What colors are will we keep in mind while making the booth?

Since the entire booth is for the Demo simulation of the Last of Us, It would be an undeniable plan to follow the particular game’s theme instead of taking up the branding pact of the Naughty Dog games. On e might argue the fact of the theme of the brand is supposed to be used, but what attracts a particular customer to the booth from a particular booth is the fact that there is a large truss screaming the name of the game, and under it, the whole feel of it. Moreover, it being a story base game, it would be far from sensible not to give the feel that the game is planning to serve its player.
