Best Fans
The battle to Be the best fans Is getting tougher and tougher
It’s just like poker, Lots of sports, All kinds of things –It’s just like robots, The Jurassic Park dinosaurs, The internet, Any evolving multiplicity:
Any system that has Endless gadgets at its disposal.
Endless video tutorials –Photos of lads on trains With gallons of cider, Stella, vodka –You name it – the lot!
It’s not too difficult to learn The basics.

Lakey in the Book
When Lakey takes a picture, Everyone wants to be in it, It’s like an honour.
To be honest, I don’t even really know Tony Well enough to call him Lakey, But he and people like him Have basically saved my life Many times,
Same as Blakey (RIP)
The only one in our little gang Who would SAY he was Soul Crew Who would always buy a Soul Crew badge, Like he had a better knowledge.
If Lakey, or Chuck D
Told me to wear a mask, I’d do it,
But fuck politicians Save maybe Neil Kinnock.
Blue heart yellow heart white heart green heart

Adidas
Believe the hype
3 stripes on the strip of a player Is like a tip for the winner

Blocked
I hate being blocked By anyone.
I’m no angel, I’d freely admit it –I’ve done bad things; Silly things; Naughty things.
I’m not going to hide Behind “mental health”.
Fortunately I’ve not been Banged up yet.
Once an old flame Sent me one text – Blocked!
So infuriated –I travelled the 150 miles To see her on the train
Slammed the door in my face When I knocked, Giving me nowhere else to go But back from whence I’d came.

Working in Hospitals
It can be tough working nights. Save for the seemingly Endless stretch, Sometimes with your eyes barely open,
You’ve still got to have your wits about you. Never know when a patient might need Something – water, food, the loo –
If you’re doing admin work, Sometimes you’ll have to be typing Almost in the dark
So the lights don’t disturb anyone
And even try and type quietly, Be fiddling around trying to find your glasses Have to keep your phone on silent, Or off better still
If you know the time of the end of the shift
And the fucking passwords!
Endless passwords for different systems. Having to change the passwords regularly, And then forget the new passwords.
If only you were the bloody managing director You might think, Who has an access code to by-pass All the passwords on just about Every system in the place.

My Favourite Type of Poker
...Involves a lot of chat Just about this and that; Jamie Fisher whistling while he works.
When VK won the Sunday Mill She was just up on Twitch All night, having a drink. She’d just taken it down for $1.5M And it hadn’t yet sunk in!
She was just sat there looking at Her account balance.
I said instead of it saying $1.5M, I think I’d have preferred To see all the zeroes.

Put him (and her) in the nick (CLINK)
There are people
Who think they’re so special
They can just get away with it
Time after time after time...
There’s one person
Who thought he got away with it
Just the once, got stopped for no reason. Maybe he’s regretting it now –
He’d done nothing wrong
To his mind; she’d told him the lie to say.
But she wasn’t just doing her job. She had his number.
He won’t hand himself in; she won’t grass him up.
He thought he was just like Rob –Something special, Completely on his own, Doing nothing wrong, No-one to answer to. He’d have a lawyer anyway.
Who’s she going to call next?
Only the same person she calls every day. Same order every day. Nothing out of order –She deserves to be put on the throne, she thinks, Despite her plea, “I’m just a working class girl.”
Please make it stop was all I could think. Every light switch going off and on Reminds me of being banged up.
The Echo once had thirty City fans on the front page. Just hope for her sake it’s not a Mandela-length stretch.

Trigger
Alright Del?
Alright Dave?
Hello Trig!
Ah...Boycee!
Hello Trigger (puffs on cigar)
Boycee...tell me more about your “business meeting”.
Business meeting, Del?
We haven’t heard about Trigger’s new broom yet.
It’s the same broom
I’ve always had, Boycee.
I was telling Dave About it earlier.
I thought you said You’d bought a new broom Trig?
I got a new Broom handle Dave, But it’s the same broom –I told you that.
Oh – there’s Marlene. Hello Marlene!

Beliefs
Decent people
Don’t have secret marriages
I was told.
Marriages
Are for friends and family. They should be public In the vast majority of cases.

Blocked
I hate being blocked By anyone.
Unlike Vince Alm, I’m no Saint, I’d freely admit –I’ve done bad things; Silly things; Naughty things.
I’m not going to hide Behind mental health –Fortunately, I’ve not been Locked up (yet).
Once my favourite person Sent me one text: blocked!
So infuriated, I drove the 150 miles to see her, And fortunately, We made up, got on, Had a fun time in fact.
I know I’m a nutter, But in real life, At least most of the time, I’m usually likeable enough!

Judgemental
I was lucky enough To meet Julian Lennon once, The joker.
My cousin introduced me to him In his Red Bar in Palma, Majorca.
I said something like I didn’t Rate him as a Singer. He called me judgemental, Which I hadn’t expected.
Went to the loo, had a line, Came back and told him –Well you’re judgemental For calling me judgemental.
By the end of the night, I was shaking his hand And apologising –“You’re John Lennon’s son For Christ’s sake”, I said to him, “Of course I respect you.”

Love
What all my friends; So called friends; Family, associates, haters, rivals, Supporters –
What all of you Don’t realise, Might never know (Except maybe one)
Is that, by coded message In reply to a text message Sent by text by me by mistake
Is that she’s already told me Her love will go on, Despite the wrong I’ve done
And sorry, Irrespective of deeds She may or may not have performed, It took me a while to learn That I can’t see myself Ever stop loving her, even from afar.
Caz saved me from Claire AC is cooler than both, much funnier. I’d be her servant I told her, And not in a creepy way, In an honourable way, Your honour.
Throw me to the dogs/ Gods/someone romantic who’ll marry me x

The Fucking Cunts
They’ll illegally and forcefully Break into your property By some cunning means.
They’ll bark orders, Bash you about, Claim that they’ll be Calling the police.
They’ll have already Grassed you up And got professionals involved For reasons not known to you.
They’ll bully and harass you, Manhandle you,
Try to force you Into getting up from your bed.
They will scare you Half to death, They will scare you To such an extent That you will try to Plead that you’ve Got Covid just For them to keep Their distance But they won’t.
18
They will keep on Trying to detain you, Illegally, by force
Until you plead with them –Get off me you fucking cunts.
Only then will those who, They will say, Are your “loving brothers” Get off you.

When Christina Met Elizabeth II
She could scarcely believe her eyes –What was going on?
Everything looked so fantastic –How could this be happening?
Don’t worry my dear, Elizabeth said, All is well.
Christina went to curtsy, But instead, Elizabeth curtsied And Christina could Scarcely believe What was happening. How had this happened? Had Nick done this?
No – Elizabeth said, This is God’s work –You are the Queen, My dear.
She was shown around Her quarters.
What a beautiful Place it was –Everything so wonderful. Christina was in her element, So excited.
20
There were lovely little Mice running around, Some real, some not,
She was presented With a magic broom, And with that, She took off, Flying around the room, So excited And full of joy
It really was All a bit too much,
And when she saw Her adoring crowd,
And the Queen Went off on her spaceship,
Christina gave a royal-like wave, And Nick, in the audience Was just so happy to see it, So proud of her, he almost wept –He knew he’d been right.
And the when Christina Started dancing
He just had to laugh –She’d never been The best dancer!
21
Ultimately, Christina couldn’t quite cope with it. She was driven back home by a taxi, To continue living her normal working class life. She mostly kept it to herself that was the real true Queen Now that George IV, Or whoever it was that the revolutionaries had voted in, Had become the new King/President/call it whatever you will.
Behind the scenes, All the politicians really did get shot. Isabel Oakeshott went on to form the Flockdown Party (the party that took the piss out of the Establishment), And swept into power. Few other parties got any votes. The Loyal Party gained one seat In South Derbyshire.
