1. ABOUT US

Spyder has been running for 15 years from our Silverstone base, offering motorcycle and scooter hire, event support and management, fleet management, logistics and a workshop facility.

We are a customer focused, fast reacting business who work to uphold your brand values whilst providing a great customer experience.

2. WHAT WE DO

2.1 Motorcycle Hire

For fifteen years Spyder have been offering manufacturer partnered motorcycle hire to our Club members, private customers and businesses. From a European tour on a BMW GS to a Deliveroo advert using a Piaggio Liberty 125 scooter, we have created a five star service.

Our reputation within the industry enables us to source motorcycles for manufacturers and brands for a wide variety of events and projects.

2.2 Spyder Club and Tours

Spyder Club began in 2008, with a group of adventurous members and a fleet of motorcycles. We started offering fly-ride tours throughout Europe, enjoying roads in the Alps, Pyrenees, Picos, Southern Spain, Norway, Tuscany, Provence, Scotland, Wales and the Dolomites, to name some of our favourites.

As our reputation for producing well organised trips grew, so did our tour customers outside of the club and Spyder provides itself on returning the same level of service to all of our tour customers.

Over the last 15 years we have organised bespoke events for MotoGP sponsors, provided staff, photographers and riding experiences for journalist open days and product launches. We have also provided MTB riding instructors for manufacturer E-bikes, as well as motorcycle geniuses at dealer launches.

Focused on providing an excellent experience, all the Spyder team are creative problem solvers ensuring that the customer enjoyment and safety always comes first.

2.3 Event Management and Support

Spyder are lucky enough to have access to a great team of event managers, knowledgeable brand ambassadors and highly skilled riders.

We can provide first aid trained, road, track and, off road experienced riders and instructors and have done so for Aprilia, Ducati, Dunlop and Moto Guzzi amongst others.

Our team will provide pre and post-event administration including: risk assessments, route planning, liaising with organisers, on the day registration services and safety briefings, data entry and contact follow up.

2.4 Fleet Management

From our unit at the prestigious Silverstone Circuit, Spyder are centrally located to handle all fleet management requirements.

We have been managing the press fleet for Piaggio UK for the last 6 years with brands including Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Vespa and Piaggio.

Offering storage and logistics, workshop services, and also act as a journalist and agency liaison.

Spyder are able to provide a one stop shop for manufacturers seeking to outsource their requirements.

2.5 Storage and UK/European Logistics

Spyder provides bespoke logistics services throughout the UK and Europe. Entrusted to transport motorcycles valued at over $1,000,000 we can supply carnet support and have all appropriate liability and transport insurances.

Spyder also offer a storage service where motorcycles are carefully looked after at our centrally located Silverstone base.

2.6 Vehicle Sourcing and Special Projects

Spyder uses its manufacturer and private connections to find the hard to find.

We have sourced two, three and four wheel vehicles including a 1990 supercar valued north of £500,000 for sound recording on track and new motorbike models for manufacturer product development.

We can also apply our experience to offer services outside of the norm: we have provided bikes and riders for promotion around the Gray Man Netflix film, put motorcycles in the Gherkin, created images for a Christmas Deliveroo advert, and have delivered rebranding work, turning an electric scooter into a fully branded Mulberry machine.

Spyder prides itself on not saying ‘no' and always finding a solution.

2.8 Wheels to Work

Since 2019, Spyder has also offered a scooter hire service called Wheels to Work.

For a weekly hire fee customers get a scooter, insurance, delivery and service package to enable them to get to work and ride socially.

The Wheels to Work scheme introduces young people to two wheels as well as overcoming barriers to work, providing freedom and opportunity.

2.7 Technical Support and Workshop Services

Spyder have a technical team experienced in working on motorcycles from multiple manufacturers either at our unit or on a mobile basis.

As well has having an in house tyre change facility, Spyder can carry out Pre Delivery Inspections, source vehicle wrapping services, provide and fit data tracking systems and undertake estimates and damage repair all to the highest levels of service.

Special Project - Mulberry

Services provided: convert Vespa Elettrica to Mulberry scooter, vehicle re-spray, vehicle registration and PDI, co-ordination of seat recover to Mulberry leather, logistics around display of bike at Mulberry store and technical support.

Special Project - Sony

Services provided: motorcycle hire, car hire, Bruntingthorpe track hire, logistics, drivers and riders

Sony were a significant customer throughout the development process for a new car and motorcycle driving game. Spyder were asked to source and supply large numbers of bikes and a number of sports and supercars for visual and sound recording purposes. We also employed professional riders and drivers to use the bikes on the runway to work the vehicles throughout the rev range, a tough gig!

Spyder Club Events – High

Speed Days

Spyder have also run Bruntingthorpe High Speed days for Club members and guests. This saw a group of enthusiasts join us for an exclusive day at the famous proving ground with the unique option to run both cars and motorbikes.

Spyder would offer a motorcycle home pickup and drop off service pre/post event so members could arrive in their cars and have the motorcycles waiting for them at Bruntingthorpe. The chance to V-Max both four and two-wheeled vehicles along the two-mile runway was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Each event of around 40 guests was followed by dinner, bed and breakfast, all organised by Spyder.

Spyder Club - Events

Since 2012 Spyder Club has hosted an annual winter party for members and partners, organising an event, followed by dinner, bed and breakfast at a hotel. With between 40 and 60 guests attending each year, the winter party is a major undertaking, planning visits to museums, factories, lunches, transport and accommodation for the group.

From dinner at the British Racing Drivers Club to a tour and lunch at the Williams Formula 1 factory and museum, to a days go karting, Spyder Club members and guests have enjoyed seamless planning, fun experiences, fine dining and a fantastic night, all planned in house at Spyder Club.

Spyder were commissioned to assemble and transport the Christian Dior Vespa.

Due to the nature of the vehicle we were asked to accompany it on photoshoots at exclusive locations throughout the country.

We also looked after the installation of the bike at Christian Dior perfume pop ups at various locations including Harrods and Selfridges.

The day before the official product launch for the new fragrance ‘Drive’, Dunhill asked us to supply riders with two motorcycles wrapped to their specification for multiple drop-offs.

Spyder organised an efficient route throughout London and the home counties where we delivered the new Dunhill Drive fragrance. At each delivery, photos were taken with the influencer or by a photographer to provide unique and memorable content.

Dunlop asked us to organise a two-day tyre launch for their UK dealers from our Silverstone Circuit location.

We were commissioned with supplying motorcycles with all tyres changed to the Dunlop RoadSmart 4 pre-event, developing a route with coffee stops, outriders and medic for the ride.

Spyder also supplied catering for the event and a classroom environment for the training sessions.

Gucci x Palace London

Supporting a new partnership between Moto Guzzi, Gucci and Palace for the Gucci x Palace London pop-up shop.

The full commission was to PDI and prepare the new motorcycle, make ready for display, deliver, set-up securely and collect after late night opening.

ITV x Bad Chefs

This was a three-day event for the ITV2 program Bad Chefs, in which we provided scooters prepped to appear like delivery vehicles.

The riders were filmed delivering the contestants to the main kitchen location after their introductory piece to camera and also to take the contestants away if they had been unsuccessful.

London Marathon x Running Imp

Employed by Running Imp to operate the timing systems for the women’s and men’s elite races at the 2022 London Marathon.

A big responsibility for Spyder to ensure an accurate service but one which was undertaken with aplomb.

Spyder have been asked to provide the same service again for April 2023 with an added bonus of one of the team also running the event for charity – no lifts provided!

MDA UK are an Israeli emergency services charity.

Spyder look after their Piaggio MP3 delivering to events in venues including stadiums, synagogues and conference centres.

Some events have been particularly inaccessible requiring site visits and strategic and creative planning to gain access for the vehicle.

Spyder were booked by Stellar London to assist in the promotion of the launch of the Gray Man film on Netflix.

Pre-event we wrapped motorbikes and supplied four outriders to accompany a promotional team and mobile exhibition in London, Birmingham and Manchester over three days.
