After two years of navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, this 2021-2022 academic year has called for rebirth of a more diverse SPU campus culture. For virtual students, this was their first dive into college life as part of an in-person community post-quarantine. But, given the opportunity to meet in-person after such an extended period brought about challenges, especially around mental + physical health and safety on campus.
Despite these post-quarantine challenges, SPU students took root and began to flourish—as you can see documented throughout this annual publication. This year was about hope coming back to SPU Campus, and with hope, a call to action to challenge existing SPU policy and enact real change. For most, this was a time to rebuild connection back into community, culture, and classrooms.
