Stop Collar Prevents Roll Slide on Support Core We have designed a very cost effective replacement to the traditional short cut sections of paper core used to maintain the roll of material on our shipping racks from sliding during shipment. The laser cut and machine formed ring uses the spring tension of the heavy gauge steel to it greatest advantage. Pictured below is the Stop Collar on our aluminum support core. The aluminum core is slipped into the ID of the core support for the material.
We have always offered to wind non-slip tape on the surface of the aluminum core. 99% of our roll racks have been supplied with the non-slip tape. After years of constant moves the non-slip tape can lose some of its aggressive surface. The mechanical locking collar with adjustment bolt and welded retention nut will fit over either surface.
