SPRUCE GROVE LIFE AND LEISURE OPPORTUNITY The Spruce Grove and District Chamber of Commerce is excited to introduce the

2016 LIFE AND LEISURE EXPO IN CENTRAL PARK!

The Spruce Grove and District Chamber of Commerce is in the planning stage of its 4th Annual Life and Leisure Expo. The expo will be hosted on Saturday, May 14th, 2016. We have studied what has worked well, what parts need to be tweaked, and what we will add to enhance the weekend based on previous years.

The main goal of the Expo is to showcase our local organizations and businesses in a way that can enrich the family “Life and Leisure” experience in our community, and connecting them with local businesses.

HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE: Set up your business with an activity, item or service geared toward “the family” or your community.

We can help with your ideas, and we especially welcome yours.

Suggestions for activities include: build something, hit a target, offer races, safety checks, build a healthy snack, set up a popcorn/candy floss stand, shoot some hoops, kick some balls, small competitions, teach something, create something, paint something…..the list is virtually as big as the imagination of our business community! Your in kind participation is a great way to network in Spruce Grove.

*We will require a $1000 deposit check that will be held until after the event. Should you not set up or attend for any reason, the check will be deposited. We will be advertising your involvement and since there is no charge for you to enter, it is necessary to ensure your commitment. Checks will be returned following the Expo.

FAMILY LIFE AND LEISURE WAFFLE COOK OFF We invite chefs (and cooks) within our local food industry to compete in our Family Life and Leisure Waffle Challenge. What can you do with a waffle?

Our Sponsor for this event will provide the waffles, and we challenge you to create the most appealing, and “to die for” taste with any combination of ingredients you choose. Present and sell your creation on site. Prepare for the exciting conclusion when your Chamber Board Members judge the entries.

Food will be a ticketed event, and when you create a retail value of $5 per waffle, you will receive a $2 cost share for each ticket collected (keeping in mind the waffles are at no cost to you).
