The North continues to grip my imagination and in March I’ll be undertaking a month long residency in Siglufjordur, North Iceland. Being on the brink of this new experience and having weeks of opportunity to develop new techniques and approaches is very exciting. what to expect: New paintings, assorted print techniques and other as yet unknown artworks are bound to emerge from this residency. With the fjord opening onto the Arctic Ocean, the sea could have a significant part to play as will wintry landscapes. Previous etchings will also be available.

From Castle Douglas direction, turn left from Chapel Street at corner of Craigdarroch Hotel. From Ayr/ Carsphairn look for the Clocktower! recommendation: Glenwhisk Café and Bistro. Freshly prepared meals with many vegetarian options, licensed with very good cakes.
