I make clay vessels, coil-building and throwing with meditative focus. I use textured clays, raw surfaces and smoke-firing to make statement pieces for interiors and curated collections of pairs and groups.

What to expect: Returning to show in my own studio in the heart of Moniaive for the first time since 2011, visitors will be able to see a selection of my work plus all materials and tools used in the making and firing, including my smoking bins.

I make mixed media artworks combining drawing, painting and printmaking techniques including screen printing and collograph. I mostly make unique pieces rather than editioned prints. My work is often abstract or semi abstract and relates to the natural environment and our interaction with it.

What to expect: Visitors to my studio will be able to go into my garden studio where I work. I will offer demonstrations with my printmaking equipment during the weekend. I will also have an exhibition of recent work in an adjacent gallery room in my house.

The George Hotel in Moniaive has recently reopened and is run by Rachel, Julian and family as a friendly cafe.

Directions: From the centre of Moniaive village follow the A702 towards Dalry. Leave the village over the humpback bridge. Keep on the main road. The house is first on the left.

Accessibility: 5 steps to get up to the level of my house from the drive. Disabled visitors are welcome to park in front of the house.

SPRINGBACK

I create intricate contemporary textiles inspired by Scotland's coastal landscape. I interpret the landscape through print, making unique hand-printed fabrics using various printing techniques. Then using free motion machine embroidery as my drawing tool I combine the fabrics to create fine art mixed media textiles.

What to expect: I will be exhibiting my new collection of fine art textiles and mixed media studies from trips to the Hebrides. I will also be demonstrating some of the printing techniques I use onto fabrics and offer people the opportunity to try different printing techniques – accessible to everyone including children.

Working from my home studio I make both functional and decorative pottery. Alongside the blue and white tableware I am known for I will also be showing my new handbuilt decorative vessels for the first time.

What to expect: You can meet me at my studio where I can answer any questions about my work and the making process. There will be pots on exhibition around the studio. You'll have the opportunity to make a pinch pot that you can take away with you.

I am a painter and my studio is in the beautiful village of Durisdeer. I mostly work on large canvases in a loose, semi abstract style. I paint landscapes and seascapes. I sometimes paint outdoors and love weather!

What to expect: My studio is very much a workspace. I am not a tidy worker so I display my paintings in a large room in Ferndale. My workspace will be open for visitors to see paintings in-progress and all my materials.

I produce wheel-thrown tableware and objects from my studio in Thornhill. My work aims to celebrate simplicity and functionality, highlighting the inherent beauty of objects that are made by hand.

A love of pattern is central to my designs, inspired by the busy Victorian aesthetic but with a modern, balanced approach. Heirlooms fascinate me, sentimental pieces building significance as they’re passed through generations. It’s this emotional value which I aim to imbue into my jewellery.

What to expect: My studio is a space filled with inspiration, printing trays full of treasures, pavement finds and a pin board covered in magazine cuttings and postcards. At my workbench my favourite tools are at hand: piercing saws, tweezers, soldering torches, files, mallets and planishing hammers.

I design and create my jewellery from my studio in Coburg House, Edinburgh. Mainly working with resin, I produce pieces by combining a bold colour palette with pattern.

I am a traditional Tapestry weaver working on an upright scaffold loom. I translate my paintings onto the loom using yarns made of cotton, wool, acrylic, linen, silks, and plastics. I weave across my warp and beat the yarns down with handmade wooden bobbins.

What to expect: A warm welcome awaits in my studio, and into the house to see larger pieces. I will demonstrate how I weave on my scaffold loom. Visitors can try weaving on my scaffold loom or on a small wooden frame. Young people can handmake a twig loom and experiment with thicker yarns.
