A Message From the President Dear Fellow Ballet and Arts Supporters, Welcome to Springfield Ballet’s production of Cinderella. Cinderella is a classic story that teaches the importance of kindness towards all, forgiving others for doing wrong, being brave and taking chances, believing in and being true to yourself, and never letting bad things ruin your heart. Those are lessons that everyone needs to learn and have certainly been stressed to our student performers as they have grown through this production.

As with our winter performance of The Nutcracker, the difficulties experienced this year have required tremendous dedication and flexibility by our staff, students and parents in preparing for and performing this production. This year’s Cinderella could not have happened without the cooperation of so many and the desire of our students to bring this joyful and beautiful performance to our community. The support of the audience and sponsors enable our staff and students to do what they love in bringing the art of dance to Springfield through this production and they cannot be thanked enough.

Springfield Ballet continues to impact and enliven our community in numerous ways.

Support from you creates our Dance Chance program in partnership with Springfield Public Schools. This program provides free dance instruction to children at eight Title-I schools and helps us fulfill part of our mission. I love that Springfield Ballet can offer this chance to enrich students’ lives. Your support also offers scholarships for those students that may not otherwise have the chance to have passion for dance and poise for life.

ASHLEY M. WALDEN Executive Director

Ashley Walden is proud to call Springfield, Missouri her forever home. She attended Glendale High School, where she played on the girls soccer team, enjoyed being a peer mediator, was published in her school’s art magazine, and received accolades in journalism and art at graduation. After high school, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration at Drury University, with minors in Fine Arts and Global Studies. While at Drury, she was the public relations leader for Students in Free Enterprise, who won the SIFE World Cup in 2003. Ashley was also an Executive Committee member for two years in Pi Beta Phi fraternity.

Ashley enjoys volunteering for several local organizations including Springfield Ballet Guild, Sporting Springfield Soccer Club and is a member in Rotary of Springfield Southeast. She also had the honor to be a classmate of Leadership Springfield Class 33. With a deep appreciation of arts, Ashley made her acting debut as the Maid in the 2016 performance of Springfield Ballet’s The Nutcracker.

Ashley and her husband Amos have three daughters and two fur babies.

Together they enjoy watching Harry Potter movies, relaxing on the beach or by the pool with friends while singing their favorite summertime songs.

Ashley is honored to be part of Springfield Ballet’s staff and looks forward to the Ballet’s continued impact in the Ozarks.

MARIA L. HALL School Principal

Maria’s early dance training began at Springfield Ballet under the direction of Ashley Paige Romines.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of MissouriKansas City with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ballet, Modern Performance and Choreography. At UMKC, she trained under Paula Weber, Mary Pat Henry, David Justin, DeeAnna Hiett, Gary Abbott, Tobin James and Sabrina MadisonCannon. During this time, Maria performed works by Alvin Ailey, Gregory Dawson, Peter Anastos, Kameron Saunders and Philip Jerry.

She performed with Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey and the Alvin Ailey 1st Company in Memoria.

Maria also performed Eden as an apprentice with Wylliams-Henry Contemporary Dance Company. She has trained at summer programs including SummerWind Youth Ballet, Giordano Dance Chicago, The Rock School for Dance Education, Kansas City Ballet and Netherlands Dance Theatre. Maria had the opportunity to travel to Guatemala to perform in the 76th Annual International Choreographers Showcase with dancers from around the world.

After graduation, Maria spent a season dancing with Missouri Contemporary Ballet, where she performed in works by Karen Grundy, Sean Aaron-Carmon, Penny Saunders and Fernando Rodriguez. As an alumna of Springfield Ballet, Maria is honored and excited to return in 2021 to the ballet school that shaped the foundation of her dancing. She is thrilled to share all she has learned and help the future stars of the dance world grow and flourish.

EMILY WALLEY Production Assistant

Emily Walley has been dancing since age three and has been passing on her passion for ballet through teaching at Springfield Ballet for the past two years. She was Production Assistant for ​The Nutcracker​ (2019), ​The Nutcracker​(2020), and is honored to continue that role for ​ Cinderella​.

Emily began her dance training at Sonshine Performing Arts Academy where she studied ballet, tap, jazz, and tumbling from 2003-2005. She then danced at Ozark Dance Academy under the instruction of Julia Bubalo from 20052015. There she took classes in many different styles of dance including jazz, tap, lycial, contemporary, modern, and her favorite, ballet. She was also a member of their competition team.

Emily made her debut performance in a Springfield Ballet production when she ​ he Nutcracker ​(2013). She fell in love with the art played a Party Scene Boy in T of ballet and the core values of commitment, professionalism, knowledge, respect, excellence, confidence, and discipline that Springfield Ballet instilled in her. Since then, Emily has appeared in many SB productions. Some of her favorite roles include Snowflake and Flower in ​The Nutcracker, Teardrop and Tiger Lily in A ​ lice in Wonderland ​(2017)​, ​and Rose in ​A Tale of Two Wolves​. Emily was a merit based work-study scholarship recipient during her senior year of high school where she had the opportunity to assist ballet classes. In the fall of 2018, Emily became an instructor apprentice under the guidance of former Artistic and School Director, Ashley Paige Romines.

Emily now teaches Dance with Me beginning classes through Ballet 4 level classes at Springfield Ballet. She also teaches for Springfield Ballet’s outreach program Dance Chance. She instructs workshops, camps, and other programs throughout the year.

Emily also worked as Assistant Office Manager.

Emily is currently working on her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Elementary Education through Missouri State University’s Accelerated Master’s Program. She is newly married to Daniel Walley, whom she met while they danced together at Springfield Ballet. Both Emily and Daniel are extremely grateful for Springfield Ballet’s continuous impact on their lives and the opportunities they have received through this organization.

ASHLEY PAIGE ROMINES Artistic Advisor

Ashley Paige Romines began her dance training at age ten in Sevierville, Tennessee, and at age sixteen continued on to preprofessional ballet training at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.

She then studied on scholarship at the University of Oklahoma and graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in ballet pedagogy.

While in college, she performed with Oklahoma Festival Ballet, and some of her favorite credits include Cygnet in Swan Lake, a witch in James Clouser’s Carmina Burana and in George Balanchine’s Valse Fantaisie. Ashley Paige then performed professionally for three seasons with Northern Ballet Theatre in New Hampshire and for two summer seasons with Burklyn Ballet Theatre in Vermont, with credits including Columbine Doll and Dew Drop Fairy in The Nutcracker, Fairy of the Song Bird in Sleeping Beauty and “pas de trois” in Paquita. While in the northeast, she taught at several ballet schools and received her Pilates mat certification through Power Pilates.

After her performance career, Ashley Paige focused on her teaching, choreography and ballet administration career. In 2007, Ashley Paige joined Springfield Ballet in Springfield, Missouri, as the Artistic & School Director, where she spent twelve years. While there, she choreographed and staged the annual production of The Nutcracker as well as several original full-length and one-act classical and contemporary ballets, including the 2014 production of Cinderella. Additionally, she attended Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet’s Teacher’s Workshop, with the late Marcia Dale Weary, which was instrumental in her approach and philosophy for training dancers from tots to pre-professionals.

Ashley Paige relocated to Denver with her husband, Frank, in 2019. She currently is on faculty for all levels and does private coaching at Littleton Ballet Academy, and she is on faculty at Colorado Ballet Academy, working mainly with the pre-professional program. She is delighted to continue to be involved with Springfield Ballet on an advisory level and share her passion for ballet.

Alexandra Olson Senior Spotlight

Alexandra has been dancing at Springfield Ballet for 10 years. She has performed as Snow Queen and Dew Drop Fairy in The Nutcracker, Beauty in Beauty & The Beast and is Cinderella in our current 2021 production of Cinderella.

WE ASKED ALEXANDRA TO SHARE SOME OF HER EXPERIENCES AS A STUDENT DANCER AT SPRINGFIELD BALLET.

The most valuable lesson I learned at Springfield Ballet was if you’re going to make a mistake, make a big mistake. It is better to make a mistake and have something to learn from and grow, than to do nothing at all. This mindset has allowed me to grow and become much more confident.

My advice to younger dancers is everyone has their own path. Your journey will never look like your friend’s journey and theirs will not be the same as yours, so don’t compare. Trust your teachers to look out for you and do not let your ballet level define you. Your level is merely a number, it tracks the path that is right for you and doesn’t compare to your friend’s path.

My senior year was one I would have never expected but it might have been the best one I could have had. I was fortunate to be able to dance and be surrounded by friends, teachers and the comfort of the studio. I made new friendships and strengthened old ones. And I was able to perform major roles in The Nutcracker and Cinderella.

Dancing at Springfield Ballet has shown me how to carry their core values of commitment, professionalism, knowledge, respect, excellence, confidence and discipline through my daily life.

I hold these values they instilled closer than words can convey.

While my future is currently not clear I am learning to be OK with that. I want to go to college and study women’s studies to make a difference for women’s rights. I want to be an author. And I always want dance to be in my life in some way. I know if I keep these goals in mind I will find exactly where I am supposed to be.

ALEXANDRA, THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF SPRINGFIELD BALLET. WE WILL MISS YOU AND WISH YOU LUCK PURSUING YOUR FUTURE DREAMS.

Elisa Peters

Senior Spotlight

Elisa danced at Springfield Ballet for 13 years.

She has performed numerous roles in productions over those years including Fritz, Clara, Spanish, Dew Drop Fairy and for performances for SPS second graders Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker. She was Grumpy Dwarf in Snow White, Mopsy and Squirrel in Peter Rabbit and Other Tales by Beatrix Potter, Tweedledum and Lobster in Alice in Wonderland, and performed in Rain Colored Souls and a solo in Petals at past Rendezvous en Pointe events.

WE ASKED ELISA TO SHARE SOME OF HER THOUGHTS ABOUT BEING A STUDENT DANCER AT SPRINGFIELD BALLET.

Ballet has taught me the effectiveness of listening and applying what I hear. Even though it is still quite difficult, even after years of practice, the process of listening and applying something has allowed me to see what it means to be fully engaged in an activity. At Springfield Ballet I learned how to dedicate myself completely to a practice. I have learned the meaning of sacrifice, poise, respect, commitment and dedication that I can apply to the rest of my life.

I would tell younger dancers that ballet will give you as much as you put in to it. It requires your full attention and dedication and with genuine passion your work will pay off. But if your heart is not in it, then as with anything in life, your true passion may lie elsewhere so keep looking for what you can dedicate your whole heart too.

The highlight of my senior year has been learning to take a break. The pandemic has provided me with more time for new experiences and allowed me to meet new people through those experiences.

In the fall I will be attending college and plan to study studio art and environmental science.

My five-year plan is to be living independently, be more well-travelled and working or studying at something that truly satisfies me, whatever it may be.

Historical Background

The story of Cinderella, the mythical legend about unjust oppression followed by triumphant award, is found in many languages and cultures dating back to ancient China. The version of the story that has the most familiarity, and serves as the basis for the ballet, was written by Charles Perrault. Cinderella, like The Sleeping Beauty, was one of the eight stories in the book titled Histoires ou Contes du temps pass (Stories and Tales of the Past). The Brothers Grimm also wrote a popular version of the story.

Originally, in 1870, the Bolshoi Theater requested Tchaikovsky to write the music for the ballet, but it never materialized, and the fairy tale score was put on hold for seventy years. Then, in 1940, a composer by the name of Sergei Prokofiev took on the task of composing a score for the ballet of Cinderella. He put the work on hold during World War II to write the opera War and Peace. Prokofiev picked up work on Cinderella in 1944 and finished a year later.

There seems to be a bit of controversy over when the first ballet proper of Cinderella was performed.

Many versions have popped up through history, including a version by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov (choreographers of The Nutcracker and Swan Lake), but none of the choreography from these early versions survived.

The original ballet set to Prokofiev’s famous score premiered in 1945 at the Bolshoi Ballet with choreography by Rostislav Zakharaov. It was quite popular, and in fact was produced again for the Kirov the following year. However, the most well-known version that we know today was choreographed by Frederick Ashton of the Royal Ballet in 1948. Since then, many other choreographers have choreographed new versions of this ballet and many new versions are premiered each year. Other noteworthy versions include Ben Stevenson’s and David Bintley’s.

As stated above, the ballet was based on the Perrault story, but a few things were added to the in order to make the story work better as a ballet. The four seasons are represented in the ballet as fairies, but never appear that way in the Perrault story. The Fairy Godmother first appears as a poor beggar in order to test Cinderella’s kindness. This also never happened in the original fairy tale. And, for obvious reasons, the glass slippers are replaced with pointe shoes.

Cinderella Synopsis

Once upon a time, there was a widower who married a proud and haughty woman as his second wife. She had two daughters who were equally vain and selfish. By his first wife, he’d had a beautiful young daughter, Cinderella, a girl of unparalleled goodness and sweet temper. The stepmother and her daughters forced Cinderella into servitude, where she was made to work day and night in menial chores.

Cinderella bore the abuse patiently.

Act I, Scene 1: At present, the Prince invites all the young ladies in the land to a ball, planning to choose a wife from amongst them. The two stepsisters gleefully plan for the ball, and taunt Cinderella by telling her that maids are not invited to the ball.

Suddenly, a Beggar Woman appears asking for food, drink and a warm place to rest her weary feet. The stepsisters refuse to help her, but Cinderella generously offers her the only thing she has to give, a loaf of bread. The Beggar Woman graciously thanks Cinderella.

The stepmother hires dressmakers, hat and wig makers, and a very prestigious dance mistress to help prepare her daughters for the ball. Of course, she won’t allow Cinderella to take part in the services. As the stepmother and stepsisters depart to the ball, Cinderella cries in despair.

Act I, Scene 2: The Beggar Woman re-appears, but Cinderella doesn’t have anything left to give her. The woman magically transforms into the Fairy Godmother, and with the help of the Season Fairies and Petite Fairies, prepares Cinderella for the Ball. The Spring Fairies with the Flowers present Cinderella with beautiful ballet slippers. The Summer Fairy and Dragonflies present her with a magnificent ball gown, and the Grasshoppers change into coachmen. The Autumn Fairy transforms Pumpkins into a beautiful carriage, and the Winter Fairies present a sparkling tiara. The Fairy Godmother tells her to enjoy the ball, but warned that she has to return before midnight, when the spells will be broken…

Act II, Scene 1: At the palace the ball is in full swing. The stepsisters and stepmother are enthralled with the wonderment of the beautiful palace. All the guests whisk around the stage in grand court dances. The Master of Ceremonies presents the Prince, and the ladies try for his hand in marriage while the Jesters entertain all.

Suddenly, a late arrival is announced. When Cinderella enters the ball, the Prince is immediately enraptured. Cinderella in turn becomes so enchanted by him she loses track of time. As the clock strikes midnight, the magical world begins to disintegrate and Cinderella flees….

Act II, Scene 2: The following day the Prince begins a frantic search for his runaway Princess. He tries the slipper on all the ladies in the kingdom. When he arrives at Cinderella’s home, the stepsisters try to squeeze into the slipper, but Cinderella’s is the only foot that fits. Cinderella produces the other slipper for good measure.

Reunited, Cinderella and Prince Charming declare their love.

She has attended Springfield Ballet’s camps and intensives throughout the years as well as Indiana University’s Summer Intensive and Kansas City Ballet’s Summer Intensive.

Outside of dance, she is a member of National Honor Society.

Lyla Olson, 12, is a sixth grader at Wilson’s Creek Intermediate School. She has been dancing for eight years and currently attends Springfield Ballet. Her favorite roles include Russian and Columbine Doll in The Nutcracker and Wolf’s Henchmen in A Tale of Two Wolves. She has attended Springfield Ballet’s MOve Intensive, Senior Summer Intensive, and Arabesque Camp. Outside of dance, she is a Student Council Representative.

Mimi Orr, 11, is a fifth grader at Ozark South Elementary School. She has been dancing for nine years and currently attends Springfield Ballet. Eliana Ostenson, 9, is a fourth grader at Weller Elementary School. She has been dancing for two years and currently attends Springfield Ballet. Her favorite role has been Baby Mouse in The Nutcracker.

Grace Park, 16, is a sophomore at Central High School. She has been dancing for five years and currently attends Springfield Ballet. Her favorite roles include Flower in The Nutcracker and Star in Cinderella (2021). She has attended Springfield Ballet’s MOve Intensive and a modern dance Intensive with Steve Rooks at Credo Dance Academy.

Outside of dance, she has gotten consistent high ratings at music festivals for violin and piano. She is also a member of FBLA and debate.

Mimi Shaw, 10, is a fourth grader at Greenwood Laboratory School. She has been dancing for six years and currently attends Springfield Ballet. Her favorite roles include Baby Mouse and Gingerbread in The Nutcracker and Raccoon in Beauty & the Beast.

She attended Springfield Ballet’s Plie Camp and Junior Summer Intensive.

Sasha Smith, 11, is a sixth grader with Seton Home Study School. She has been dancing for six years and currently attends Springfield Ballet. Her favorite roles include Big Mouse in The Nutcracker and Lobster in Beauty & the Beast.

Elle Stalzer, 10, is a fourth grader at Springfield Lutheran School. She has been dancing for eight years and currently attends Springfield Ballet.

Claire Stevenson, 13, is an eighth grader at Immaculate Conception School. She has been dancing for 10 years and currently attends Springfield Ballet and Tiffany’s Performing Arts Studio. Her favorite roles include Snowflake, Flower and Lead Chinese in The Nutcracker. She has attended Springfield Ballet’s summer intensives. Outside of dance, she is an all A honor roll student.

Kate Stevenson, 8, is a second grader at Immaculate Conception School. She has been dancing for five years and currently attends Springfield Ballet and Tiffany’s Performing Arts Centre. Her favorite roles include Baby Mouse, Little Toy Soldier and Little Angel in The Nutcracker. She has attended Springfield Ballet’s summer camps.

Madeline Swenson, 13, is a seventh grader at Cherokee Middle School. She has been dancing for nine years and currently attends Springfield Ballet. Her favorite roles include Baker and Gingerbread in The Nutcracker and Rabbit in Peter Rabbit & Other Tales by Beatrix Potter. She has attended Springfield Ballet’s MOve Summer Intensive.

Outside of dance, she has studied piano for eight years.

Annie Thieman, 8, is a second grader at Eugene Field Elementary School. She has been dancing for six years and currently attends Springfield Ballet. Her favorite roles include Little Angel and Baby Mouse in The Nutcracker.

Adalyn Walden, 13, is an eighth grader at Pershing Middle School. She has been dancing for seven years and currently attends Springfield Ballet. Her favorite roles include Chinese Lead and Party Scene Girl in The Nutcracker and a Star in Cinderella (2021). She has attended Springfield Ballet’s Senior Intensive (now MOve Intensive), will attend Next Generation’s summer intensive this summer, and has participated in Young Choreographers Showcase. Outside of dance, she is a member of National Junior Honor Society and band.

Daniel Walley, 21, is a sophomore at Missouri State University studying Marketing, Promotions, and Advertising. He has been dancing for four years and currently attends Springfield Ballet. His favorite roles include Mouse King and Arabian in The Nutcracker and Villager in A Tale of Two Wolves. He has attended Springfield Ballet’s summer intensives.

Jamie Williams, a Springfield, Illinois native, was a member of the Springfield Ballet Company in Illinois for five years. During her time there, she danced roles in Swan Lake, Cinderella, The Sleeping Beauty, and many productions of The Nutcracker. Jamie then moved to Springfield, Missouri, and graduated from Missouri State University where she majored in biology and minored in dance. Jamie now works as an Education Specialist at Dickerson Park Zoo and enjoys dancing with Springfield Dance Alliance.

She has been seen as Mrs. Stahlbaum in Springfield Ballet’s The Nutcracker as well as the Stepmother in Cinderella (2014), The Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland (2013) and The Evil Queen in Snow White. Jamie is thrilled to teach as a Springfield Ballet faculty member, as well as sew costumes for productions.

Lilly Ruth Williams, 13, is an eighth grader in the Scholars Program at Central High School. She has been dancing for 10 years and currently attends Springfield Ballet.

Her favorite roles include Clara and Spanish in The Nutcracker and Fairy Godmother in Cinderella (2021). She has attended Springfield Ballet’s Senior Intensive(s), and will attend School of American Ballet’s Summer Intensive in New York on scholarship, this summer. Outside of dance, she competes in multiple debate championships, is a firstplace state winner for sculpture in PTA Reflections, won first place in Botany in the Junior Science Fair, and was a state finalist in the individual performance category for National History Day (NHD).

Myah Williamson, 9, is a third grader. She has been dancing for one year and currently attends Springfield Ballet. Her favorite role has been Baby Mouse in The Nutcracker.

Bailey Wilson, 9, is a third grader at Immaculate Conception School. She has been dancing for five years and currently attends Springfield Ballet. Her favorite roles include Baby Mouse and Gingerbread in The Nutcracker and a Spoon in Beauty & the Beast.

Ireland Brooke Wilson, 15, is a freshman at Republic High School. She has been dancing for 12 years and currently attends Springfield Ballet. Her favorite roles include Clara in The Nutcracker, Dormouse in Alice in Wonderland (2017), and Happy the Dwarf in Snow White. She has attended Springfield Ballet’s Summer Intensive.

Skye Wilson, 7, is a first grader at the Discovery School. She has been dancing for three years and currently attends Springfield Ballet. Her favorite roles include Baby Doll in The Nutcracker and Sugar Cube in Beauty & the Beast. She has attended Springfield Ballet’s Fairy Tale Camp.

Gabriella Wynn, 13, is a seventh grader at Pershing Middle School. She has been dancing for nine years and currently attends Springfield Ballet. Her favorite roles include Party Scene Girl and Gingerbread in The Nutcracker and The Lost Coin in The Lost Coin. She attended two Modern Dance Intensives with Steve Rooks and summer intensives at Credo Dance Academy.

Hannah Young, 15, is a freshman at Central High School. She has been dancing for 12 years and currently attends Springfield Ballet. Her favorite roles include Marzipan, Snow, and Flower in The Nutcracker. She has attended Springfield Ballet’s summer intensives. Outside of dance, she is involved in a variety of science-related activities.

Outreach Programs Outreach Programs Dance provides a multitude of benefits for those who immerse themselves in it, from improved cognitive health and deeper social competence to ease of self-expression and perseverance – all ways that increase their quality of life.

Not everyone is able to afford or attend dance classes, which is why Springfield Ballet is committed to making dance accessible to those who might otherwise not have the opportunity to experience ballet. The following outreach programs exist to touch the lives of underserved populations in Southwest Missouri through the art of dance.

DANCE CHANCE Formed in the spring of 2007, Dance Chance is a partnership with Springfield Public Schools, Community Partnership of the Ozarks and Springfield Ballet to provide free dance instruction to children at Title-1 schools.

Springfield Ballet instructors travel to Bissett, Fremont, Mark Twain, McGregor, Robberson, Weaver, Weller and York Elementary Schools for weekly dance instruction to children in grades kindergarten through third. At the completion of each session, participants demonstrate what they’ve learned for family and friends in a public performance. More than 1,500 children have benefitted from this program since its inception.

The Nutcracker SECOND GRADE PERFORMANCES For the past 24 years, Springfield Ballet has provided busing for every second grader in the Springfield Public Schools system to attend a live, abridged performance of The Nutcracker at the historic Landers Theatre. This program is designed to expose all children to the art of ballet at an early age through the Any Given Child initiative, which seeks to bring access, balance, and equity to each child's arts education from kindergarten through eighth grade. By using a model that combines the resources of Springfield Public Schools, local art groups, and the Kennedy Center, this program acts as the second-grade component and has reached more than 48,000 children since it began!

CHILDREN’S WORKSHOP SERIES Springfield Ballet offers four low-cost workshops each year to provide a well-rounded introduction to the art of ballet. Each workshop engages young participants (age 3–8) in an afternoon of fun and culture through a craft, story time, dancing and games. The workshops are great introductions to classical ballets and serve well to enrich the lives of young students, both dancers and non-dancers.

STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS As part of its mission, Springfield Ballet is pleased to offer tuition and pointe shoe scholarships for children ages seven and older who have a strong passion for and desire to study ballet but lack the financial means necessary for their ballet training. No previous dance experience is needed to apply; Springfield Ballet trains students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Funds are available each semester for partial or full scholarships, and Springfield Ballet is proud to offer more than 12% of its student population with scholarships.

NEW: COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP Springfield Ballet is proud to offer the NEW Community Scholarship dedicated to serving students of racial minority who are interested in studies of dance. Information and Application for this opportunity is found at springfieldballet.org/scholarships.
