22nd  $QQXDO ³0ROO\ 6FKOLFK´ )LOP 6HULHV  :H¡UH %DFN )RU WKH nd time we are bringing seven critically-acclaimed films to the big screen at the AMC Parkway 8 Theater in Springfield. There are so many amazing independent and foreign films being produced these days and luckily, with all of the internet and alternative distribution options, you can see most of them on your television, computer, tablet or phone. But in the end, nothing compares to the magic of the big-screen experience. So join us at the movies in 2013 to experience these films they way they were meant to be seen! Thank you to Molly Schlich, the founder of this event, and the selection committee: Jim Houston, Paul Povse, Steven Meyer, and Betsy Dollar. There are always hundreds of films discussed and far too many to comfortably narrow down to seven. Many of you liked our idea to try to run the series longer and throughout the year;͞ unfortunately, it is not an easy thing to organize. Ultimately we chose to stick to the tried and true format of seven films. We also took a close look at our attempt to offer post screening discussions and we are sorry to report that we will not be continuing the discussion group. The food at Indigo was wonderful, but we were never able to get a large enough group for an extended discussion. Thanks to those of you who gave it a try last year. We will continue to seek out alternate ways to offer discussions about the films.
