THE RISE OF PERAMBUR AS A PROMINENT REAL ESTATE MARKET IN CHENNAI AND HOW SPR CITY HAS SHAPED IT Deriving its name from the word Perambu, which means Bamboo, it was believed that before the British rule, Perambur was a dense bamboo forest. Today, the scenario is completely different. Change swept in, transforming it into one of the most happening localities in Chennai. Besides the rapid development the area has witnessed in recent times, Perambur is fast becoming the hotspot for Real Estate Investment. Located in the North Eastern part of Chennai and considered to be one of the oldest residential areas of the city, it has a mixed demographic and several residential developments have popped up due to its well-planned layout. But what makes this region such an attractive place for investment? Let’s look at some of the interesting aspects of this place.

• EXCELLENT CONNECTIVITY Located at one of the prominent spots in the City, Perambur is currently served by three railway stations which include Perambur, Perambur Loco works and Perambur Carriage works. Post completion of 36 floors in Tower-A, construction work is currently in the above terrace crown area. Main door frame fixing has been completed until the 25th floor. Waterproofing work upto 35th floor has been completed. MEP 1 st fix upto 34th floor completed. Fire safety measures have been implemented until 28th floor. Flat, lobby finishing works, external painting, window and main door frame fixes have also been initiated.

SHRI RAM UNIVERSAL SCHOOL There has been considerable progress in the construction work being carried out at the school site. 3rd floor work is in progress across Block A. Above terrace floor work is in progress in Block B, C, D, E and F. Block work has been done in ground and 1st , 2nd and 3rd floor is in progress. External plastering, internal painting, MEP 1st fix and waterproofing works are ongoing.

Across the bungalow site, construction work is proceeding at a swift rate. Currently, in Zone 1, RCC work has been fully completed and block work is in progress. In Zone 2, terrace slab has been completed and block work is in progress. In Zone 3, podium slab completed, and 1st floor work is in progress. In Zone 4 and 5, podium floor work is in progress. Model villa work is also taking place rapidly with block work fully completed and plastering, cladding work in progress.

Work is in progress in full swing at the Market of India site. Raft in basement 2 floor, basement 1 slab and lower ground cellar work is being carried out in Zone A and E. Excavation work has been completed in Zone E and is nearing completion in Zone A. In the Central Plaza area, excavation work and raft work in basement 2 floor is underway.

SPR SUCCESSFULLY HOSTS BUSINESS PARTNERS’ MEET FOR ITS LUXURY COLLECTION AND RECEIVES 200+ ATTENDEES

Having always believed that a brand needs meaningful business relationships to move forward, we hosted the second CP meet of the year.

With a slew of launches lined up for our luxury segment, we decided that it was the right time to get together with our business partners and discuss how to take SPR’s growth story forward. The Business Partners Meet for Q2 of 2019 was held on 1st June 2019, at Taj Connemara and witnessed attendance from a selective list of 200+ attendees comprising real estate agents, realty firms, among other prospective business partners. The agenda of the meet was to deliberate on the organization’s successful performance in Q1, share information on SPR’s exquisite suite of luxury projects and the projection for the next quarter.

The event kicked off with a brief intro on the company and was followed by detailed presentations on our luxury projects – Osian One, Origine bungalows, and Highliving District - Tower H. The presentation walked the audience through the upcoming plans for the projects. The 8th September, 2019 handover of Osian One remained the focal point of conversation with detailed discussions on the plan of action for the project. Other highlights of the event included talks

CRICKET MANIA HITS SPR: EXCLUSIVE MATCH SCREENINGS HELD FOR CUSTOMERS AND EMPLOYEES

India is a land of diversity; we speak different dialects, follow different religions, customs, and traditions, and yet if there’s one thing that binds us all together, it’s our love for the game of cricket. Especially when a major series or an India vs.

Pakistan match is on the cards, the entire nation comes together to cheer for the men in blue. This World Cup 2019, we had something exciting planned for our customers. We organized a special screening named MASTERSTROKE for the India vs. Pakistan match at the Leela Palace and provided limited passes to customers from the luxury segment.

The screening witnessed enthusiastic attendance from young and old alike. We also had fun games and interactive sessions with the audiences during the adverts, and gave away surprise gifts to the winners. In the midst of celebratory roars, food, tea and fun, it also provided a great networking

opportunity for the attendees. And as India made its victory move and sealed its place in the upcoming matches, the deafening cheers that followed and the collective joy, showed just how much we’ve grown to love a game that was brought to India along with the British rule.

The evening ended on a positive note, and everyone left the hall in high spirits. Since we’ve always believed that our customers are our extended family, and it is vital to bond beyond what the norm dictates to forge meaningful, lasting relationships, we thought: what better way than a fun game of cricket to make that happen?

And it didn’t stop there; we extended the fun to the employees as well!

On the day of the Semi-finals, the entire SPR Corporate office was abuzz with banter and excitement over the match. The reception area was converted into a mini-theater space, and we had plush cushions and seats for everyone who wanted to settle down and watch the action on the big screen. Though the end match result doused everyone’s spirits, it nevertheless proved to be a wonderful opportunity for teams from various departments to come together over something everyone loved and interact outside of work.

While the initiative was certainly a first, we’re sure it’s definitely not going to be the last. Gear up for more exciting events planned in the coming days. Until then, stay tuned!

TOWARDS A BETTER FUTURE: SPR CELEBRATES WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY ON 5TH JUNE Despite being one of the most precious gifts given to mankind, there’s no end to the abuse and misuse the environment that surrounds us is subject to. With rising rates of air pollution choking cities across the globe and melting snow caps threatening to erode our very existence, it’s high time we started to look into environmental issues on a serious note and started paving the way for a better tomorrow. On World Environment Day (5th June, 2019), the entire SPR came together in the spirit of conserving nature and natural resources. The event kicked off with a Tree plantation drive, where over 100 trees were planted near the school premises. The central theme of the event revolved around ‘Beating Air Pollution’ and several speakers shared their thoughts on how one can alleviate the issue and setup measures to curb pollution.

As a socially-responsible and environmentally-aware organization, this was one among the many initiatives taken towards promoting a better and healthier future for the generations to come. The overwhelming participation from the employees showed that while everyone is born with a desire to do good and reap good, sometimes a little nudge in the right direction goes a long way in making a difference.

We hope the endeavour proved useful in inculcating a sense of responsibility towards the environment and hope to carry out more such initiatives in the coming days.

25 TIPS YOU CAN IMPLEMENT IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY LIFE TOWARDS SAVING THE ENVIRONMENT To do our bit for the environment, you don’t need to take large steps; even small gestures can help in the long run. Using resources in an economic manner is the first step towards saving the environment. Here are a few practical tips you can easily apply in your day-to-day life: ❧ Instead of using the shower, bathe with water in a bucket. You’ll save litres. ❧ Don’t leave the tap on while brushing or shaving, you’ll waste a lot of water. ❧ While doing the dishes, scrub them all first and then wash them together to save water. ❧ Never throw away water, repurpose it for something else. For example, you can use the water used for washing clothes to clean your bathroom floor. ❧ Conserve rain water. If your house doesn’t have a rain water harvesting system yet, implement it right away. ❧ Install toilet flushes with both less and more water usage to prevent wasting water with every flush. ❧ Serve only the amount you think you can eat. Take a second serving if required, but don’t waste food. ❧ Use leftovers the next day instead of throwing them away.

❧ At home, have TV in the living room instead of one in each room. ❧ As far as possible, opt for e-bills, emails, etc. ❧ Take prints on both sides of the sheet to use less paper. ❧ Use recycled paper whenever you can. ❧ Use towel napkins instead of paper tissues to wipe your hands or face. ❧ Drive at a speed between 40-80 kmph which is more efficient and consumes less fuel. ❧ Make sure your vehicle is serviced from time to time so that it does not require more fuel. ❧ Tyre pressure needs to be adequate as less or more can affect the fuel efficiency. ❧ Carpooling or using public transport for commuting is an ecofriendlier option.

❧ Give away food to someone needy if you do not want to eat it anymore.

❧ Cycling is an excellent option for short distance commute not just for your health, but for the environment as well

❧ Opt for energy saving electronics to consume less electricity.

❧ Plant atleast one tree every 3 months in your neighbourhood

❧ Avoid single-use plastics. Instead opt for reusable or biodegradable materials

It proved to be an ideal platform to reach out to the jewellery traders and businessmen in the city and educate them on the benefits of moving their business to India’s first and largest wholesale market.

The response received was nothing short of extraordinary, with several prominent traders expressing keen interest on the growth opportunities that the market offered and desire to move into the market.

Overall, the expo offered us a chance to showcase the project to the jewellery trade community and proved successful in providing us a major break in terms of visibility and awareness in Coimbatore.
