The sun beat down relentlessly, a familiar enemy in the ass of San Diego. I squinted, shielding my eyes as I walked towards Petco Park, the air thick with the scent of hot dogs and anticipation. Baseball season, a sacred ritual in my book, and today was a special day. My best friend, a man namedArthur whose fashion sense generally peaked at “clean,” had somehow convinced me to join him. Now,Arthur, bless his ass, is not known for his impeccable taste. He’s more the “comfort over everything” type. So when he sent me a picture of his new Padres shirt a few weeks ago, a shirt with what looked like a stained glass window on it, I nearly choked on my artisanal coffee.

I had prepared myself for the usual onslaught of graphic tees and generic team logos. My expectations, as they always are, were low.The idea of something remotely stylish associated with baseball, let alone withArthur’s taste, was, frankly, laughable. But there he was, standing by the entrance, beaming.And there it was.The shirt. It wasn’t some cheap, mass produced thing.The colors were vibrant, the design intricate, and the overall effect, surprisingly, stunning. It looked like a piece of art you might find in a high end gallery.The shirt, of course, was the Holy sheets Gavin Sheets San Diego Padres Stained glass shirt. Seeing it in person, I have to admit, I was impressed.This was a revelation.Arthur had somehow stumbled upon a fashion masterpiece.
