It was aTuesday, a day I typically reserve for deep dives into obscure documentaries and agonizing over the correct shade of off white for my living room. I wouldn’t say I’m easily impressed. My standards are, shall we say, elevated. I’ve rejected invitations to Michelin star restaurants because the water wasn’t filtered to my liking. So when my friend, Liam, practically begged me to join him at a Super Bowl viewing party, I almost declined. Super Bowl parties? The very thought conjured images of greasy wings, overly enthusiastic shouting, and general chaos. But Liam, bless his heart, is persistent. He leaned into the mic and did the thing that got my attention. “Now, I know this may be controversial, but if Drake were to appear, and considering his recent musical output, I could see him maybe delivering a subliminal shot at Kendrick Lamar. It would be, in my opinion, bad form.” Reginald said this in such an earnest, concerned way. I chuckled. Liam, noticing my amusement, winked. He pulled out something from a bag that was on the side of him. See more:
