LETTER FROM THE COMMITTEE CHAIR Dear TranSPORT Attendee, It’s my pleasure to again welcome you to the 2018 SVG TranSPORT conference. Your participation today to engage in discussion around our industry’s challenges and examine the current and future state of our business is evidence of what we can accomplish when we focus our collective efforts. As best practices continue to evolve around how we acquire content, how we distribute it and to whom, events like TranSPORT provide a critical platform to gather industry experts from an expanding world to collaborate and contemplate the future shape of our business. I know you will find many of today’s topics being discussed by industry leaders to be extremely informative as they take an in-depth look at some of the most critical areas of interest facing our profession. As IP, 4K, and 5G contribution continue to play an increased role in production of TV Everywhere, OTT, and linear platforms, the opportunities these developments offer — while technically innovative — also introduce increased workflow complexities when it comes to maintaining the highest standards of delivery. As an industry, we must continue to leverage and share our knowledge base with one other, even when it can be challenging at times. In this constantly evolving but vastly exciting time for us, it’s my privilege to chair the TranSPORT committee. I look forward to the engaging dialogue across the many panels on our agenda. Thank you again for attending! Sincerely,
Keith Goldberg Committee Chair SVG TranSPORT
