Welcome to your Sports Tours International Group Itinerary

This itinerary is your essential guide providing everything you need to know before, during and after your running challenge.

Our expert reps will be on hand to support and guide you from the start of your trip to the race finish and beyond. Whether it’s helping you to the race expo, answering questions at our pre-race briefing or encouraging you from our cheer zones along the course, we are with you every step of the way.

ARRIVAL INFORMATION – ARRIVAL INTO PARIS

ARRIVAL BY PLANE

After clearing passport control, proceed to the Arrivals Hall to collect your luggage. Please then pass through the exit into the arrivals area. No transfers are included as part of your package, therefore, please make your own way to the hotel.

CHARLES DE GAULLE AIRPORT

Take the RER B in the direction of Orsay-Ville or Robinson then exit at Gare du Nord, change to Metro line 5 in the direction of Place d'Italie and exit at Bastille.

ORLY AIRPORT

Take the Orlyval to Antony, change for the RER B in the direction of Mitry-Claye or Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 - TGV and exit at Châtelet - Les Halles, change for the Metro line 1 in the direction of Château de Vicennes and exit at Bastille.

TAXI - Taxis are available outside of the terminal buildings.

ARRIVAL BY TRAIN

 Gare de Lyon station: a 10 minute walk to from the hotel

 Gare du Nord station: Take metro line 5 in the direction of Place d'Italie and exit at Bastille, then a 10 minute walk to the hotel

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

 By Metro: Bastille Station (Lines 1-5-8); Gare de Lyon Station (Lines 1-14); Quai de la Râpée Station (Line 5)

 By RER: Gare de Lyon Station (Lines A & D)

 By Bus: Lines 87-29-91

TRAVEL AROUND PARIS - METRO

Metro tickets can be purchased at ticket offices/machines in Metro or by using the Île-deFrance Mobilités and My Navigo apps. Keep hold of your ticket until you have completed your journey as tickets may be inspected.

Nicki and colleagues will be available at the Hotel Marceau Bastille at designated times, listed below, throughout your stay and also available by phone or WhatsApp message.

Saturday 8th March 09:00 to 10:00 and 16:00 – 18:00

Sunday 9th March 07:00, 07:45 and 09:15 (escort to the Start depending on your wave time)

15:30 to 16:30

17:00 to 19:00 at Café Quai 33 (see below for further information below)

Monday 10th March By phone if needed (our staff depart today)

CHECK IN FROM 14:00, CHECK OUT BY 12:00 Your accommodation is reserved as per your booking confirmation on a bed and breakfast basis. Please refer to your booking confirmation for the dates and duration of your stay.

NOTE - TWIN SHARE: If you have booked a twin share as indicated on your booking confirmation, you have now been paired up with another runner of the same sex. If you check into the hotel prior to your fellow runner, please show courtesy and save space within the bedroom furniture such as wardrobes and drawers.

DAILY ITINERARY

FRIDAY 7TH MARCH – MEET & GREET DRINKS

Join us at Café Quai 33, (33 Rue de Lyon) around the corner from the hotel from 18:30 until 20:00 for complimentary welcome drinks and to meet your reps and fellow runners. Even if you’re travelling solo, this is an ideal opportunity to meet others. We hope to see you there!

5K WARM UP RUN – SATURDAY 8TH MARCH – 07:30

If you, your friends or family would like to join us for a 5k warm up run, please meet us in the hotel reception at 07:30 where we will take you on a gentle run in the surrounding area.

SATURDAY 8TH MARCH – ESCORT TO THE MARATHON EXPO – 10:00

We will escort those who want to attend the Expo this morning. We will be leaving the hotel at 10:00 so please meet in reception before that time. We will travel via public transport at your own cost.

What To Bring for Packet Pick-up

 Your QR code (sent by email the week before the event)

 Your ID

 Your Health Prevention Course Certificate a paper copy is required if it was not uploaded and validated on your Time To account

You will receive your bib and t-shirt at Packet Pick-up.

RACE BIBS

Your bib/race number is allocated to you as soon as your registration is validated via the link you have been sent to register. To collect your bib, you must show your registration confirmation (QR Code) which will be available the week of the event, received by email and available on Time To, your compulsory Health Prevention Course certificate and your ID.

Race bibs must be securely attached to your chest and not obscured.

HEALTH DECLARATION

The free Health Prevention Course (HPC) has replaced the need for a medical certificate for events in France. The HPC is compulsory. Please ensure you have completed the course and uploaded the PDF certificate received, to your Time To account. We recommend that you bring a copy with you to Paris in case it is required. GETTING THERE

To get to the Marathon Expo, please do so using public transport. If you wish to join our escorted group on Saturday morning, please see above for further information.

PARIS HALF MARATHON 2025 – RACE DAY

PARIS HALF MARATHON SUNDAY 9TH MARCH 2025

Today is the day! Grab your trainers and take your place on the Paris Half Marathon starting line.

START AND FINISH

The Paris Half Marathon 2025 starts on Boulevard Saint-Germain and finishes at Place de la Bastille.

The official start time of the race has just been published. Details can be found here under ‘Your departure’ where you can also find an official ASO Half Marathoner guide. You are advised to get to your starting area at least 30 minutes before your start time.

ESCORT TO THE START AREA

Our reps will escort runners to the start at 07:00 (red, yellow & blue), 07:45 (purple & green) and 09:15 (grey & pink); the start is approximately a 25-minute walk from the hotel. If you wish to be escorted, please be in the hotel reception prior to one of

these times. You may wish to make your own way at a more suitable time for your start wave.

SPECTATORS

If any family and friends would like suggested viewing points, please see Nicki prior to race day and she will be happy to assist. Tracking your runner is possible via the link here using the fourth link.

AFTER THE RACE

After the race, please make your own way back to the hotel which is a 5 minute walk from the finish. Our reps will be at the desk between 15:30 and 16:30 to congratulate runners.

POST RACE CELEBRATION

All clients whether runners or spectators are invited to Café Quai 33, (33 Rue de Lyon) around the corner from the hotel for complimentary celebratory drinks and tapas style food from 17:00 to 19:00. Please do come and join us and bring you medal! https://www.cafequai33.fr

MONDAY 10TH MARCH - DAY OF DEPARTURE

Please pay your bill for any extras (telephone calls, drinks, etc) and check out of the hotel by midday at the latest. Luggage can be left at the front desk. Depending on your flight/train/ferry time, you can use today to explore Paris before your journey home. Please allow plenty of time to get back to your departure airport, station or ferry terminal.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

You will require a full 10-Year British Citizens Passport or the equivalent from another country and have an ‘expiry date’ at least 3 months British Citizens do not require a visa. All nonBritish Citizens should check with their embassy regarding current visa requirements. Please click HERE for full entry requirements.

All travellers to Spain must hold a full 10-year passport. Visas are not required for holders of Irish Citizen Passports.

PASSPORTS AND VISA – US RESIDENTS

For US nationals, please ensure that you check https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/International-Travel-CountryInformation-Pages/Spain.html before you go.

All travellers to Spain must hold a full passport. Visas are not required for holders of US Passports for stays of less than 90 days.

HOTELS – CREDIT CARD SECURITY DEPOSIT

A security deposit may be required upon check in (amount varies between hotels and length of stay). This is usually released upon check out of the hotel, please check with the hotel for their rules.

MONEY

We recommend that you take your currency in Euro. Most major credit cards are accepted, with VISA and MASTERCARD most widely used.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

You should take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance before travelling. Please check any exclusions and that your policy covers you for all the activities you want to undertake. Please note that you should declare any pre-existing medical conditions. Failure to do so may result in the invalidation of your travel insurance. You must ensure that your own personal possessions, including any sports equipment are covered by your travel insurance or by your own home contents insurance - Sports Tours International cannot accept liability for the loss of your personal possessions.
