Hospitality Programme 2024

Dear Cycling Fan,

Sportive Breaks launched in 2015 and has grown to one of the most successful travel companies focussed on providing travel solutions for the travelling cyclist and cycling fan.

With offices in Manchester, UK, Adelaide, Australia, and Boston USA, we have a team of highly experienced cycling and travel professionals who have been organising cycling trips for over 25 years.

You are in safe hands with us. We are part of the Destination Sport Experiences Group and members of UK industry bodies ABTA and ATOL, allowing you to book with confidence.

Cycling is a sport that can be enjoyed for free from the roadside, but our hospitality experiences make your day extra special and more comfortable. Sportive Breaks offer a fantastic cycling hospitality programme with some amazing experiences. Our experiences start from as little as £45 per person.

The Sportive Breaks Cycling Hospitality and VIP Experiences programme includes all the big races on the Pro calendar like the Giro d’Italia, Vuelta a Espana, Tour of Flanders, Paris Roubaix, Milan

Sanremo, Il Lombardia, Six Days of Ghent and many more. We offer you the opportunity to be there in person and enjoy 64 days of LIVE cycling action in 2024.

Available options vary per event but expect to find experiences at Stage Starts, Finish Hospitality, a front-row seat as you ride in a car during a stage and the ultimate Helicopter Experience. Please refer to the details per event.

See you out on the road, gravel, or track!

Available Experiences

Details of what is included with each experience varies per event but below you can find an overview of the types of VIP and Hospitality experiences that are available. Most experiences available on both stage races and one day races.

Start Village Experience

The Start Village Experience allows invited guests to have a look behind the scenes of what goes on at the start of a Grand Tour stage, Monument or Spring or Autumn Classic.

A village is created by the race organisers where invited guests can enjoy breakfast items, coffee, and soft drinks. Details vary per experience, but guests tend to have a front row view of the signing on podium, access to the team buses and rider warm up areas (paddock) and a view of the start of the race. Opening times are usually a couple of hours before the stage starts until shortly after the riders set off. Grand Tour stages start any time from 11.30 to 12.30 and one-day races start around 10.00 –10.30.

Finish Hospitality

At the finish expect a bit more of a traditional hospitality experience with free-flowing drinks and a buffet with local delicacies. The race is broadcast LIVE inside the hospitality venue and there is usually a raised viewing platform from where the finish can be seen.

After the riders finish some hospitality experiences also offer the opportunity to get closer to the winner’s podium. Opening times are usually a couple of hours before the scheduled stage finish until shortly after the podium ceremony. Both Grand Tour stages and One Day events finish any time from 16.30 until 17.30. The final days of the Grand Tours are extra special with a wider variety of Hospitality Experiences. These stages also tend to start and finish a bit later in the day/ early evening.

Car Experience

This is a full day out in an official race car on an actual Grand Tour stage or UCI World Tour event. The day is usually bookended by the Start Village and Finish Hospitality. Your driver is usually a former professional cyclist, and a nice packed lunch is also included.

At the start of the day, you meet your driver in the Start Village and just before the riders are on their way, you take your seat in the car, and start your adventure. You’ll see live action at various points throughout the day before finishing the day in the finish hospitality area. On some events, transport back to the start is available on request.

Cross the Finish and Podium Experience

Only available as part of a cycling tour with Sportive Breaks, lucky riders are a pro for the day and ride their own Grand Tour stage or Spring Classic. This is a fully supported day with ride captains and support vehicle.

You will ride the final section of the stage on the same day as the pro peloton just hours later all the way to the finish line. You will pass the official finish line and then have your photo taken on the winner’s podium. After all this, meet up with the non-cyclists in the group and relax in the finish hospitality venue.

Fly Experience

Like the Car Experience but in addition you will have a 20-minute helicopter flight above the stage.

Chrono Experience (only on Giro d’Italia)

Like the Car Experience but only on time trial stages. This is a shorter experience, but you can choose which rider you wish to follow.

Ghent Six Days

Tuesday 12 November – Sunday 17 November 2024

Lotto Zesdaagse Vlaanderen-Gent (Ghent 6) is the world’s best track cycling event. The Velodrome in Ghent is called ‘t Kuipke (the little bowl). It holds a special spot in the world of track cycling. It does its name justice as the track is just 166 metres long, rather than the standard 250 metres. Because of this, the banking in the corners is really steep and the closeness to the track makes for an intimate atmosphere.

This is a sell-out event where people come back year after year for the great experience. Booze, the smell of hotdogs, the live music and the loud local support make this a fantastic night out. From Tuesday 12th to Sunday 17th November 2024, you can see the elite of the track cycling world go head-to-head in ‘t Kuipke Velodrome in Ghent, Belgium. You can choose between stand-alone tickets or VIP Ghent 6-day hospitality experiences. In addition, we also offer your hotel within a 10-minute walk from the velodrome.

We offer once in a lifetime VIP experiences for the best pro cycling races in the world.
