Biographies

Beef Members

Junior

Cameron Barber is in his 2nd year of 4H. He did a market steer and carcass steer. He joined 4H because he enjoys watching his older sister and brother handle their animals. Cameron enjoys taking things apart, lawnmowers, building go carts or anything with a motor.

Bentley Bielert is in his 2nd year of 4-H and has a Market steer named Rutt. Bentley is 11 years old and in Grade 6 at Lilian Schick School in Bon Accord. He likes to play hockey, baseball and spend his summers at the lake. He thanks everyone for coming to support the members today and wishes everyone good luck.

Greer Dostie is a 1st year member of 4H. This year Greer is showing a market steer named Roger. He is 10 years old and in grade 5 at Camilla School. In his spare time, he enjoys playing hockey, ice fishing, and mountain trips with his family! Greer is excited to see everyone's hard work in action today!

Landon Finnerty is in grade 5 at Gibbons School. He is proud to have picked his own homegrown steer, who he named Kong, from the family farm in Sturgeon County. Landon enjoys feeding and spending time with his steer and playing football.

Ryder Gravelle is in his 1st year of 4-H. He has a Market steer named Big Mac. In his spare time, he likes to dirt bike, go snowmobiling, plays baseball, work with his steer and hang out with his friends.

Nathan Sinnott is in his 3rd year of 4H. His steer’s name is Fred and he is super nice. Nathan is in grade 6 at Gibbons school. He likes working with his steer and playing hockey.

Grady Spooner is 9 years old and in grade 4. This is his first year in 4H and he has 2 steers who are named Bear and Otis. Otis is his market steer and Bear is heading in to be his carcass steer. Grady is forced to go to school and when he is not there, he is playing hockey or playing outside at home on his snowmobile or dirt bike.

Harlan Spooner is 10 years old and this is his 2nd year in 4H and he has 2 steers. One is a carcass steer and his name is Feeb which is beef spelled backwards. He has a market steer and his name is Tiny. Harlan is in grade 5 and he loves to swim and play hockey. He is a great swimmer and is in level 9. He enjoys reading graphic novels and true stories. His favorite thing to do with his family is garden.

Bryn Walsh is her 2nd year in 4-H. She has a market steer named Richard. She plays baseball and rides horses. She goes to a French School in Legal. Bryn also loves to watch country music videos and playing with the baby calves.

Tanner Barber is in his 4th year in Bon Accord 4-H He has a market steer. He enjoys dirt biking, skidooing, boating and hanging out with his family and friends.

Blake Bielert is in his 2nd year of 4-H and has a market steer named Touque. Blake is 13 years old and in Grade 8 at Lilian Schick School in Bon Accord. He likes hockey, hunting, baseball and hanging out with his friends. He is excited to be here today and hopes it goes well!

Colin Dostie is a 5th year 4H member. This year Colin has a market steer named Stanley. He is 13 years old and in grade 8 at Camilla School. When he isn't at school or working with Stanley, Colin enjoys mountain trips with his horse as well as hockey and basketball. Colin is excited to see all the finished animals compete!

Destiny Denhollander is 14 years old and this is her 2nd year in 4H. Her market steer is named Otis. She loves to take care of animals and clean up after them and to learn. She also really likes to be on the debate team as it has been a really fun year even though she has been on bed rest most of this 4H year as she injured her head. Destiny has learned a lot this year.

Colton Fenske is 14 years old and attends Gibbons school. This is his 6th year in 4-H. This year his projects include a market steer, carcass steer, heifer and cow calf pair. In his free time, he likes to team rope and work with all his animals. He is excited for the show and sale today and wants to wish everyone good luck.

Tanner Fenske is in his 4th year in 4H. This year he has a market steer project named Flash and a carcass project named Big T. He is in 7th grade at Gibbons school. In his spare time, he enjoys quadding, snowmobiling, playing hockey, and team roping.

Kamryn Petherbridge is 13 years old and this is her 5th year in 4H. She has a Market steer named Goose. In her spare time, she likes to ride horses and spend time with her steer.

Wyatt Sheehan is in his 2nd year in 4-H. In his free time when he is not working with his steer, he enjoys going on ski trips with his friends and family, snowmobiling, riding his horse, and roping.

Clay Walsh is his 4th year in 4-H. In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with his friends and doing what his parents tell him to do He has a market steer, a heifer, and a 2-year-old cow calf pair. Clay also enjoys playing baseball.

Jace Walsh is his 6th year in 4H. This year Jace has a market steer, a heifer, and a cow calf project. In his spare time, he likes to play baseball and hockey and he likes hanging out with his friends. He would like to thank everyone for coming and hopes everyone has a good time.

Bon Accord 4-H Club Show and Sale 13 Intermediate

Savannah Barber is 16 years old and is a 4th year 4H member. She has a market steer project named Smoky. She is in grade 10 at Sturgeon Composite High School. Her favorite things to do in her spare time are to play hockey or spend time with family. She also likes to talk to Smoky (a lot). She is hoping Smoky has a good day with her in the show ring, and is very excited to see how this year goes for them!

Alynne Dostie is in her 7th year of 4H and currently the club treasurer. This year Alynne has a market steer named Norman. She is 16 years old and in Grade 11 at Sturgeon Composite High School. When she isn't at school or working with her steer, she enjoys spending time with family and baking. Alynne is excited for the show today and happy to see everyone’s projects!

Cassidy Fenske is an 8th year member in the Bon Accord 4H club and is currently the club secretary. This year she has 4 projects: a market steer named Kruze, a carcass steer named Kyle, a heifer named Karen, and a 2 yr. old cow Suzie with her calf Lily. Cassidy is 16 years old and in Grade 11 at Sturgeon Composite High School. In her spare time, she enjoys playing softball, team roping, and spending time outside in the sun. She is excited for the day and hopes everything goes smoothly.

Justin Ference is 16 years old. He is in grade 10 at Sturgeon Composite High School. This is his 7th year in 4-H. He has a Market steer project named Shaggy. In his spare time, he likes to work in the shop and on the farm with his dad. He also likes to hunt, quad, rope, play hockey and baseball. He hopes that everyone enjoys the show and sale this year.

Neely Ference is 16 years old. She is in grade 10 at Sturgeon Composite High School. This is her 7th year in 4-H. She has a Market steer project named Velma. In her spare time, she likes to play volleyball, water sports and spend time with her friends. She hopes you enjoy the show and sale.

Brooke-Lynn Finnerty is a 9th year member and is attending the University of Alberta taking a Bachelor of Science program. Brooke-Lynn is enjoying her role as Key Member for the Sturgeon 4H District this year and enjoys helping members from all across the district. She wishes good luck to all the members today and hopes that everyone can take some time to feel proud of their accomplishments this year!

Dawson Finnerty is 16 years old and has been in the Bon Accord Beef Club for 8 years and is the President of the club this year. In his spare time, Dawson enjoys playing hockey and football as well as helping out on the family farm. He thanks you for coming to the show and sale today. Let's have a great show!

Wyatt Robertson is a 5th year member of the Bon Accord 4H group and he is doing a market steer project. His steer’s name is Royal and he is a black angus Simmental. He likes playing football and farming as his hobbies. He will be graduating from Sturgeon Composite High School this summer.

Bon Accord 4-H Club Show and Sale 14 Senior

Tye Walsh is his 8th year in 4-H. This year he has a market steer, a carcass steer, a 2-year-old cow with twins, and a 3-year-old cow calf pair. In his spare time, he enjoys playing baseball, feeding cows and working for the neighbor. He would like to thank everyone for coming and hopes everyone has a good time.
