Von 12. bis 15. November 2014 trifft sich die internationale Fachwelt der Gesundheitswirtschaft wieder zum jährlichen Forum der Medizin am Messestandort Düsseldorf. ie Planungen zur weltgrößIn ihrer weltweit einzigartigen Kombination bilden MEDICA ten Medizinmesse MEDICA und COMPAMED die gesamte Prozesskette und das 2014 (12. bis 15. Sie ist mit ihren 23.000 Mitgliedern in Wissenschaft, Medizin und Gesundheitswesen europaweit vernetzt. Die inhaltliche Ausrichtung der diesjährigen Konferenz sieht unter dem Motto „Wissenschaft trifft Medizintechnik“ eine thematische Verzahnung vor zwischen Konferenzprogramm und dem Fachmesse-Angebot.

Foren und Fachmesse Maßgebliche Trends vermitteln in inhaltlicher Verknüpfung zu den MEDICA-Präsentationen der Aussteller und dem MEDICAKonferenzprogramm auch die zahlreichen in die Fachmesse integrierten Foren. für die medizinische Bildgebung an „Ort und Stelle“) auf eine stetig wachsende Zahl von Systemen zurückgreifen, die den Eingriff und die Patientenüberwachung erleichtern und dabei sogar assistieren können.

Als etabliert gelten Systeme, die computerbasiert auf Basis von Daten der medizinischen Bildgebung und einer vor dem Eingriff definierten Planung und Markierung des „Zielgebietes“ den Chirurgen punktgenau navigieren und seine Schnittführung kontrollieren.

Zunehmend sind die medizintechnischen Geräte im OP auch miteinander vernetzt, können für den Eingriff oder die Dokumentation benötigte Daten untereinander oder mit dem Krankenhausinformationssystem (KIS) austauschen. Auch lassen sich die verschiedenen Geräte über einfach zu bedienende (Touchscreen-)Panels zentral steuern.

MEDICA zeigt die Trends – Neuheiten für den kompletten Workflow Eine zentrale Stärke der MEDICA ist, dass sie nicht nur Lösungen für einzelne medizinische Fachdisziplinen thematisiert, sondern für den kompletten „Workflow“ der Patientenbehandlung.

Beispielsweise sind die Fortschritte bei den Bildgebungstechnologien beeindruckend. Ultraschallgeräte bieten mittlerweile eine Auflösung, zugleich eine Kontrastschärfe und das bei einer Eindringtiefe, die noch vor wenigen Jahren unvorstellbar schienen.

Erste Systeme verfügen sogar bereits über eingebaute „anatomische Intelligenz“ bestehend aus einer integrierten Datenbank mit anatomischen Strukturmodellen. Dadurch kann besser ausgeglichen werden, wenn der Schallkopf nicht komplett richtig aufliegt.

Vorteile ergeben sich ebenfalls bei der Erstellung von Schichtaufnahmen. Im Ergebnis wird eine Bildqualität erreicht, die selbst den hohen Ansprüchen der Kardiologie gerecht wird.

Als weiterer wesentlicher Trend kann das Voranschreiten der Digitalisierung und Automation im OP-Saal ausgemacht werden. Überhaupt verschmelzen Informations- und Medizintechnik immer mehr miteinander. Chirurgen können in modern ausgestatteten OP-Räumen und sogenannten Hybrid-OP-Sälen (mit Geräten

Ferner gibt es bereits einen ersten Konzeptansatz, wie eine Datenbrille („Google Glass“) den Chirurgen optimal unterstützen könnte, indem etwa in Verknüpfung mit einem Patientenüberwachungssystem auf dem Head-up-Display die wichtigsten Vitaldaten eingeblendet werden.

Apropos Wearables: Fortschritte auf dem Gebiet der Sensorik, der Materialentwicklung, der Energiespeicherung und der Chiptechnologie sind Wachstumstreiber dieser körpernah eingesetzten Diagnose- und Kommunikations-„Allzweckwaffen“. Die Bandbreite aktueller Technikentwicklungen reicht von einem Chip-SensorPflaster zur Ermittlung bestimmter Körperparameter mit Anbindung an eine Smartphone-App bis hin zu einer Kontaktlinse, die über die Tränenflüssigkeit den Blutzuckergehalt analysiert und diese Information via Funktechnologie weitertransferiert.

Eine Auswahl an Wearables, die aus medizinischer Sicht Perspektive auf gutes Marktpotenzial besitzen, vermittelt den MEDICABesuchern die Wearable Technologies Show in Halle 15. Interessante Aspekte werden auch näher beleuchtet bei der MEDICA MEDICINE + SPORTS CONFERENCE (im Congress Center Düsseldorf/CCD. Süd) und zwar hinsichtlich der von vielen Sportlern genutzten „Activity Tracker“.

Wer up-to-date bleiben will, was die Fachszene aktuell bewegt und vor allem inwieweit die Zulieferer im Zusammenspiel mit der Medizintechnik-Industrie den medizinischen Fortschritt vorantreiben, für den lohnt sich auch ein Besuch der COMPAMED 2014. Gut 700 Aussteller präsentieren dort ihre Technologie- und Servicelösungen für den Einsatz in der Medizintechnikbranche – von neuen Materialien, Komponenten, Vorprodukten, Verpackungen und Dienstleistungen bis hin zur komplexen Auftragsfertigung. Besonders im Trend liegen hier Mikrosystemtechnik-Lösungen für mobile Diagnostik-, Monitoring- und Therapiesysteme. ::
