As part of the ongoing partnership that was started in fall of 2022, SpokAnimal transported 85 cats/ kittens on February 11th to the SpokAnimal clinic from Wellpinit for sterilization, vaccinations, and microchipping. The project was done with three veterinarians, vet technicians, vet assistants, and over 20 volunteers. The cats were returned to the owners the same day. This was a free vet clinic for all 85 cats/kittens. This is a portion of the large-scale project in a multiple-year plan to help reduce the overpopulation of companion animals in the area.

In October, SpokAnimal will again be hosting a free spay/neuter, vaccine and microchip event for dogs only from the Wellpinit/Ford area to partner with The Spokane Tribe. There will be a target goal of 100 dogs once again picked up in Wellpinit and transported to SpokAnimal for the service, then returned the same day.

Partnering will help change so many lives! If you are interested in being a sponsor for this event, please contact dori@spokanimal.org.
