MESSAGES FROM OUR ORGANIZERS

DR. CHRISTI HARTER

Vice President of Education & Talent • Greater Spokane, Inc.

Thank you for being here today as we strive to make a positive impact in our community. This event’s planning committee spoke regularly about the power of collaborative efforts and how, together, we can make a bigger impact for all, especially organizations with fewer resources. An example of this is reflected in those who agreed to present today to support you and your organization through their lived experience. We want to focus on the positive and align efforts to make the Spokane region an even better place to live and work.

MARK MATTKE Chief Executive Officer • Spokane Workforce Council

Thanks to everyone for attending today’s Hiring & Retention Strategies event. In this new economic landscape, almost every industry in our region is experiencing challenges in getting the talent they need to grow their business. Our community is known for its ability to roll up its sleeves and work together to develop innovative solutions to tough problems. Our goal for today’s event is to do just that - offer real-world strategies that people can take back and implement right away so we can keep building the momentum of our economic recovery.

DR. WADE LARSON Founder • Optimal Talent Dynamics

Hiring and retaining great talent has arguably never been more challenging than it is in today’s fiercely competitive market. The expectations of the modern workforce have evolved. With the rise of remote work, the gig economy, and technological advancements – we are now experiencing a labor market that is more dynamic yet also fragmented. Businesses can no longer rely solely on common recruitment methods. Thank you for attending the first ever Hiring & Retention Strategies event and we hope you find the content of program essential to attracting and retaining quality talent.
