Svaty Mikulas and Friends

Members of the Bexar County Czech Heritage Society turned out in droves for their Christmas party at the St. Anthony Padua Banquet Hall on Sunday, December 4, 2022. Celebrants, pictured above from left, include Monika Prochazkova (Vice President of the Bexar County Czech Heritage Society, Svaty Mikulas (Joseph Topinka, Associate Professor of Practice School of Health Administration for Texas State University), Jan Hladik (Head of Trade and Economic Section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic), SPJST President/CEO Brian Vanicek, Robert Trampota (President of the Bexar County Czech Heritage Society and member of SPJST Lodge 47, Seaton) and Alfred Breuer (International Economic Development Manager for the City of San Antonio).

Thanks to SPJST lodge halls across the state being such strong supporters of so many bands and performers over SPJST’s 125 years, SPJST was recognized as the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center’s 2022 honoree at TCHCC’s annual gala on Saturday, December 3, 2022. “Thank you, SPJST, for your commitment to Czech culture and heritage and support of TCHCC,” says TCHCC President Retta Chandler.The event was held in the Pavilion Hall at TCHCC. The evening included a banquet dinner, honor program, dancing, silent auction, and door prizes.
