From the Desk of Delisle L. Doherty SPJST Vice President of Sales and Marketing It’s Your Life
The Secret to Your Worth is on the Wall
True value cannot be calculated by money. If you ever want to know how valuable your life really is, just look around your walls. Your true life’s value is everywhere. There is that family picture above the mantle, the trophy deer, fishing trip with the family, summer camp, certificates of achievements for you and your kids, the shot glass collection, the antiques you collected over the years, vacation souvenirs, children’s pictures, the autograph you got, trophies on the bookcase, the gifts you received over the years, the photo album . . . As you look around, every item comes a story. Each one comes with a friendship, a loved one, a memory, an achievement, sadness, happiness, pride, and joy.
When we leave this earth, these items are left behind. With each item will be a memory for someone who’s life you touched. Someone who smiled and laughed with you. Someone who went through good and bad times with you, a moment where someone said I am proud. Just like the junk that accumulates in our closet over the years so does your life value. You’ve accumulated these memories of love, family, friendships, happiness, sadness, pride, and joy.
When it comes time to move on from our loved ones, it is hard to say goodbye, but they still have these memories. Sadly, over the years, I’ve seen these memories being sold off because the children couldn’t afford to bury their loved ones. Our lives are far more valuable than we think. Just look at your walls.
It is time to review your insurance and have that value live on. Call your agent or RGA and ask him/her to review your policy/certificate. If you know someone who has not seen their true value and needs insurance, call us today.
My door is always open; figuratively and literally. Stay blessed, Delisle L. Doherty Vice President of Sales and Marketing —SPJST—
