Delisle Doherty appointed SPJST Supreme Lodge Vice President Dear Brothers and Sisters, Greetings from the SPJST Home Office. Please join me in welcoming Brother Delisle Doherty as Supreme Lodge Vice President. He will take over for Brother Richard Hrbacek who is leaving due to unexpected personal circumstances. I enjoyed working with Richard and know that his decision to leave early in his tenure as Supreme Lodge Vice President was difficult. We wish him well. Brother Doherty’s Supreme Lodge appointment becomes effective November 9. Delisle has been serving as the Regional General Agent (RGA) for SPJST District Five, one of the most consistent districts in terms of production in recent years. An SPJST member since 2005, Delisle previously served as SPJST State Field Representative in Districts One Five and Six. He and his wife, Lila, have two grown children and five grandchildren, all members of SPJST Lodge 196, Houston-West. Brother Doherty has a proven background in life insurance sales, business management and community service. Prior to owning his own business, he
joined American General in 1991 where he earned a position on the President’s Club as one of the top life agents in the company. As the owner of a printing and marketing company, he routinely consulted with small- to medium-sized businesses, helping them to develop and implement successful marketing strategies. In 2009, he founded and has been the guiding force for the Christian Business Fellowship Association, a business networking group for Christian-based businesses. Over the past 10 years, the group has helped to raise more than $536,000 for charity. “With my community engagement experience and leading youth programs, I look forward to working closely with the Fraternal Department,” says Delisle, adding, “This will ultimately enable the smaller lodges to have the opportunity to grow and once again become a driving force in their communities.” Fraternally, Brian Vanicek Supreme Lodge President —SPJST—
