DILLON NARRO HONORABLY CHOSEN AS DRUM MAJOR OF NAVY RECRUIT BAND Congratulations to Dillon Narro, age 18, of Lodge 17, New Tabor on his graduation from basic training with the United States Navy on November 2, 2018, at the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois. Dillon was honorably chosen to be the drum major of the Navy Recruit Band as part of the Triple Threat Division during his time at the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command and performed at basic training graduation ceremonies. In addition to drum major, Dillon was selected to be Athletic
Giving, helping Honorary SPJST Legal Advisor and Lodge 87, Temple President Sidney Kacir delivers grocery donations to Churches Touching Lives for Christ (CTLC) in Temple recently. Brother Kacir encourages all members to give to their community food pantries to help others.
Petty Officer of his division and received the sharpshooter award. Dillon is currently attending Navy Class A School for Damage Controlman at Naval Station Great Lakes. He is the son of Ralph and Holly Narro, grandson of Donnie and Betty Suehs, and great-grandson of Gladys Trcalek Hejl, all of Lodge 17, New Tabor. We all wish Dillon well on his Navy journey. Enjoying the Evening at Lodge 88, Houston Lodge 88, Houston members Ashley Victorick, third from left, Wallace Jahns, and Josephine Pflughaupt, right, welcome Patsy Koslovsky, left, and Lynette Talasek, both of Lodge 47, Seaton, to Lodge 88’s bingo on Thursday, October 18. The Seaton ladies report they enjoyed the evening. “Patsy and I have been saying we wanted to do this for several years now,” Lynette shares. “Finally, we planned it and made it happen! The members of Lodge 88 made us feel so welcome, and they made our experience even more eventful. We enjoyed a delicious meal with some wonderful company. If you ever get a chance to visit the hall on a Thursday night, it will be well worth it. Thank you to our SPJST family at Lodge 88 for making us feel so special! We hope to come back sometime soon to do it again!”
Remembering Veterans 2018-2019 District Three Duke Chad Jurik of Lodge 25, Ennis Youth Club places a flag on a veteran’s grave at Crisp Cemetery. The youth club met Saturday, November 3, 2018, to decorate veterans’ graves at the cemetery. More on page 17.
