nificant portion of its October Supreme Lodge meeting last week addressing items related to the SPJST Youth Program with the emphasis on its summer camping program. State Fraternal Director Frank Horak and Camp Kubena Director Jeb Lapeyrolerie participated in the discussions which included the topics covered by the District Youth Counselors (DYC) when they met for their annual fall meeting on September 22. Additionally, Supreme Lodge members authorized officers to proceed with multiple C a m p Kubena initiatives, including the addition of staff housing, upgrading the septic system, and getting bids on replacing the pool. The Supreme Lodge also voted to adopt the SPJST Summer Camp schedule for 2019. The schedule includes two five-day sessions for children who have completed kindergarten to age 12 and one session for teens, ages 13 to entering high school senior. The teen session integrates the SPJST’s longstanding Leader-in-Training (LIT) program. The 2019 SPJST Summer Camp schedule is as follows:
Saturday, June 15 to Wednesday, June 19, 2019 All Districts Graduating seniors are not eligible to attend SPJST Teen Camp; however, they may apply to serve as a camp staffer or as an adult chaperone for one of the two sessions of SPJST Junior Camp.
