SPJST Lodge 41, Port Lavaca met February 20 in the new meeting room at Six Mile Volunteer Fire Department which was constructed on the two acres that Lodge 41 donated to the Six Mile community in 2017. Members toured the new fire department facility which has a grand opening slated for Saturday, April 7 at 12 noon. Lodge 41 members are, left to right, Carolyn Rokyta, Franklin Jurek, Jimmy Pustejovsky, Larry Rokyta, Dan Sitka, Mary Sitka, Jeanie Elder, and Lorene Pustejovsky.
State Duchess’ Notebook
Dear Readers, I’m having so much fun being SPJST State Duchess! And, I’m having fun with my beautiful Queen April. My favorite memory with her so far is the Christmas parade. At our last meeting, April made me a pearl bracelet that has the word “Duchess” on it. I can’t wait for the other state activities. During spring break, I stayed at my Grandma and Grandpa Holland’s house, and we also helped set up tables at the hall. Fraternally yours, Madison Holland State Duchess —SPJST—
