New Rest Home Facility to Open
The directors of S.P.J.S.T. Rest Home are excited to announce the upcoming completion of a new 96-bed skilled nursing facility in Taylor, Texas. “This facility will include state-of-the-art skilled nursing services, memory care, and an outstanding therapy rehabilitation center,” Administrator Woody Richards says. “This new facility is scheduled to begin providing health care services to individuals in August 2016.” Congratulations to S.P.J.S.T. SPJST Lodge 24, Cyclone hosted its annual Mother’s Day Barbecue Lunch on Sunday, May 8 at Flag Hall in Cyclone. A total of 1,022 plates of barbecue chicken, beans, potato salad, coleslaw, and the trimmings along with dessert were prepared and served to attendees. Members work several months planning for the community event that raises funds for the improvement and maintenance of Flag Hall. The day also included a homemade quilt raffle with funds benefitting the youth club. Thanks to all who helped with the annual lunch and to those who attended. More pictures on page 9.
