Brian Vanicek of Lodge 24, Cyclone was named Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic to the State of Texas by Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Bohuslav Sobotka on November 20, 2014, in West during groundbreaking ceremonies for the West Sokol Gym and Facilities. Brother Vanicek serves as SPJST Supreme Lodge President. He succeeds Ray Snokhous of West who served as Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic to the State of Texas for 20 years.
