SPJST congratulates Sister Helon Louise Milner Holub, a member of Lodge 35, Elk, who celebrated her 96th birthday on October 3, 2014. As such, Sister Holub is entitled to all SPJST benefits with no further dues or assessments required. Helon was born to Dossie and Zelda Milner in Axtell, Texas. Her siblings were brothers James, Monroe, and Earl Milner and sisters Claude Ellison, Marion Barnhart, Mary Skelton, and Dee Jungemann. On August 1, 1940, Helon married Edwin Eugene Holub. Together, they had four children—sons Ken, Ron, and Johnny Holub and daughter Sharon Pelletiere. Helon was a wonderful spouse and mother. She worked at Owens Corning in her younger years and assisted her husband in starting his business with Mobil Oil. Helon’s grandchildren include Scott Holub of Arlington, Kris Holub of Waco, and Nikki Spangler and Danielle Pelletiere, both of Dallas, and great-grandchildren Mason and Ella Spangler and Presley Holub. Sister Helon loved all of her children and grandchildren and greatgrandchildren very much. She loved traveling to the homes of her daughter
