“It was an honor for our youth club to share the Czech heritage and dance the beseda for the First Lady of Texas, Mrs. Anita Perry, on March 27, 2014,” writes Dillon Narro of Lodge 17, New Tabor Youth Club. Mrs. Perry was in Caldwell for the introduction of the Texas Main Street Program in which
the city of Caldwell was selected. “We danced for her privately when she arrived as well as at the reception held after the ceremony,” Macy Narro, also of Lodge 17, New Tabor Youth Club, says. “It was an event we will never forget.” —SPJST—

Lodge 91, San Jacinto hosted the Fifth Annual Paws Across Texas on April 17, 2014, at Crosby Walmart. The Crosby community was very generous donating a total of $871 and 700 pounds of dog and cat food. The food was given to Julie Wiggins, owner of the Mad Cat Sanctuary, and to Anne Curry, operator of More Than Angels Animal Rescue. All monetary dona-
