for all affected by the West, Texas fertilizer plant explosion and the brave first responders and volunteers.
SPJST expresses its grief and profound sense of loss in the wake of the April 17, 2013, explosion in West, Texas. The Society shares a deep personal and cultural attachment to the City of West and its legions of SPJST members, families, and friends. A loss of this magnitude bares our collective souls and brings us together as a community and a nation. SPJST extends its appreciation and thanks to the first responders and volunteers who worked to minimize the loss of life and damage to property and bring a measure of comfort to those who have lost so much. We will continue to stay in touch with our members in and around West, monitoring the events as they unfold and providing assistance and support where it is most needed.
