State Horseshoe Tournament Winners Announced
SPJST State Horseshoe Tournament was held at Lions Park in Temple, Texas, on Saturday May 12, 2012, with a good attendance. Members as well as non-members showed up to compete in the competition for the top four places. Although not everyone could finish in these positions, all who participated had a great time competing. And, the fraternalism was great for all participants and spectators. Each team pitched 14 rounds. In the end, there was a tie for third and fourth place. These two teams had to pitch one more round to determine who would come in third and who will have to settle for fourth place. The results revealed George Pauling of Lodge 66, Waco and Woody Richards of Lodge 29, Taylor taking fourth
place. Third place went to Travis Russell and Brad Russell (non-members). Second place went to Tim Russell, non-member, and Kyle Crawford of Lodge 6, Cottonwood with 11 games won and three games lost. First place was awarded to Paul Hutchinson and Dennis Dulock, both non-members with 13 games won and one game lost. Thanks to all participants and spectators who supported the participants throughout the day. The day ended in a fraternal way with all participants having a great day of fun while competing for the top position. Fraternally submitted, Chester Jenke, FICF State Fraternal Activities Coordinator —SPJST—
