Attention, Lodges and Youth Clubs: Get Involved in Paws Across Texas
Lodges and youth clubs across the state are encouraged to join SPJST Lodge 91, Crosby in assisting with Paws Across Texas — a benefit to help pets and animals across Texas. SPJST lodges and youth clubs can help support animal shelters and veterinarian offices by soliciting food and money donations from the public and businesses in your community. Then, choose a shelter to benefit hungry and misfortunate animals. Hats off to Lodge 91 members for their initiative in creating this statewide project. SPJST Hosts Events at Czech Feszt
In addition to being a sponsor of this year’s Czech Feszt, held October 23 in downtown Temple, SPJST hosted the Kolache Eating Contest, Czech Feszt Pageant, and Scarecrow Patch. ABOVE: Colton Regan, left, of Lodge 47, Seaton and Michael Hoelscher of Lodge 24, Cyclone compete in the Kolache Eating Contest. BELOW: On the other side of the table serving as pageant judges are 2010 SPJST State Queen Jacqueline Klaus, State King Samuel Vanicek, and 2010 Miss Kolache Festival Lindsey Jones. Lindsey is also 2007 SPJST State Queen. The Czech Heritage Museum and Genealogy Center sponsors Czech Feszt. More on pages 12 and 13.
