SPJST ENC at Cooper Farm Hosts Youth Leaders Workshop
SPJST youth leaders from across Texas gathered at SPJST Education and Nature Center (ENC) at Cooper Farm on Saturday and Sunday, March 27 and 28 for the annual Youth Leaders Workshop. The workshop included a tour of Cooper Farm, youth program updates and discussions, and camp chaperone training. More pictures from the weekend on page 27.
S.P.J.S.T. Assisted Living in Taylor Celebrates Grand Opening of New Addition
Residents enjoy new additions to S.P.J.S.T. facility
After six years of waiting lists and hallways chock-full with residents, the S.P.J.S.T. Assisted Living Facility has room to breathe, and style to breathe in. Following the completion of the construction of 36 new apartments and the renovation of the older facility to blend the two into a seamless edifice, residents are enjoying the look as well as the feel of the place, though they may have a little farther to walk. According to Assisted Living Director Jane Stauffer, that’s the only complaint she’s heard from the residents, who were patient through the nearly 10-month construction period to the point of impressing her. “From time to time we’d hear about the noise,

Lodge 84, Dallas will celebrate its 100th anniversary on Saturday and Sunday, April 17 and 18 at the lodge hall, located at 2625 Floyd Street in Dallas. The lodge was chartered on February 20, 1910, and the original lodge hall, pictured above, was completed in 1921. The current lodge hall, not pictured, was completed in 1941.
