Proceeds to benefit Fort Hood Living Memorial Garden
SPJST to sponsor Fifth Annual Bloomin’ Temple Car Show
The weekend of April 8 to 11 will be filled with music, classic cars, carnival rides, arts/crafts, food, and fun in downtown Temple, Texas, at the Bloomin’ Temple Festival. The festival opens Thursday with a carnival. SPJST will once again host Saturday’s car show on Avenue A between 5th and 9th Streets. The show is organized into 36 classes. Vehicles will be independently judged, and more than 100 trophies will be awarded. Trophies will also be presented to the top three people’s choice entries. Other special awards including club participation, distance, mayor’s choice, best engine, best paint, best graphics, and best interior will also be presented. Car show entry fee is $20 per vehicle ($15 for SPJST members) before April 8. After April 8 and day of show registration is $30 ($25 for SPJST members).

Weekend Entertainment Gates open Friday at 5 p.m., and the music starts at 7 p.m. Friday’s entertainment includes Sigmund Floyd (Pink Floyd Tribute Band), Hotel California (a salute to the Eagles), and Aeromyth (Aerosmith Tribute Band). Saturday’s entertainment begins at 7 p.m. and includes country favorites Billy Holt Band, country legend Johnny Rodriguez, and country rock performer Kevin Fowler.
