S.P.J.S.T. Assisted Living: Expansion Begins

The S.P.J.S.T. Rest Home Board of Directors recognized the need for assisted living in early 2000. The directors put together a plan to build the first phase consisting of 24 rooms. S.P.J.S.T. Assisted Living opened its doors in December 2003. The facility built 24 rooms of various sizes and styles. The board continued to envision the need for additional care for the elderly of the area who need assistance. Now, the non-profit organization is expanding its existing structure to meet those needs. The expansion will include an additional 37,278 square feet for a total of 53,153 square feet. “I am very excited about the expansion of the S.P.J.S.T. Assisted Living facility in Taylor,” S.P.J.S.T. Rest Homes and Assisted Living Board of Directors President Donnie Victorick said. “This has been in the works for some time as far as planning and visualizing what needed to be done. We are looking forward to its completion and
