Lodge 202, Jourdanton Members Sign Patriotic Quilt for Wounded Soldier

At a recent meeting, Lodge 202 members eagerly sign the quilt that will be presented to an injured/wounded soldier. The lodge also presented a monetary donation to the quilters who make many quilts each month. Pictured, left to right, are members Walter Mazur, Christine Ventrcek, Mary Ann Barta, Travis and Belenda Barta, and Lloyd and Bettie House. 2007-2008 District Seven Queen Veronica Barta and Valerie Barta are signing the quilt.

God is Czech

we know God is Czech because he has given us Kolaches peach and poppyseed
we know God is Czech because he has delivered us between the Colorado and the Brazos arms of God we know God is Czech from the fact that he gave us the polka and taught us to dance
we know God is Czech because he has given us pecan pie and blue-bell ice cream
we know God is Czech because he gave us sausage and potatoes to eat and pivo to drink we know God is Czech because he made us friendly and fair and caring just like him.
Lodge 88, Houston youth members Jessica and Tyler Schoen enjoy the summer fun activities at the Lodge 88, Houston Annual Homecoming held Sunday, June 1. Activities included a slip-andslide, obstacle course, snow cones, barbecue dinner, homemade sweets, moon walk, music, dancing, and homemade ice cream. See page 18 for more photos.
