SPJST Celebrates Fourth of July with Floats in Arlington and Belton SPJST Float II Unveiled to 30,000 in Belton

District Five Royalty Crowned in Houston
The new SPJST Float II made its first appearance at the Belton Fourth of July parade. Riding the float were SPJST members, Fort Hood Army soldiers, and 2007 Miss Texas Czech-Slovak Queen Marianne Beran. The float received the Most Beautiful Float award. More parade pictures from the Arlington and Belton parades in next week’s Vestnik.

Congratulations to the 2007-2008 SPJST District Five Royalty who were crowned July 1 at Youth Achievement Day held at Lodge 88, Houston. Longtime Lodge 25, Ennis member Annie Martinek will celebrate her 100th birthday on July 14, 2007. She is pictured buttering kolache dough for her upcoming birthday party. Assisting her is great-grandson and 2007-2008 SPJST District Three King Blake Ryan. Blake is also president of Lodge 25, Ennis Youth Club. SPJST wishes Sister Martinek a happy birthday.
