The 2006 SPJST Awards Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, February 25 at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center, located at 3601 South WS Young Drive in Killeen, Texas. The 64,000 squarefoot conference center features several meet-

ing rooms, a main hall, and a Special Events room. As home to a diverse population, Killeen is conveniently located in the heart of Texas. It is 60 miles north of Austin; 150 miles northeast of San Antonio; 163 miles southwest of Dallas/Fort Worth; and 190 miles northwest of Houston. Fort Hood, the largest military post in the free world, is

the city’s centerpiece. Registration is from 12 noon to 1 p.m., and the afternoon presentations begin at 1 p.m. Please note that lunch will not be available. A steak dinner will be served following award presentations to lodges, sales

agents, and youth clubs. Information packets have been mailed to lodges. Additional meal tickets may be purchased for $11 each. You’ll find lodging competitively priced and located near the Center. Killeen has more than 1,500 rooms. Please mention “SPJST” when booking a room. See the list of accommodations on page 6.
