oing above and beyond. Working together. Striving for bigger and better. Those are all keys to success . . . and those are all goals of the SPJST Sales Team.
“We believe in our members, and we believe in SPJST,” Supreme Lodge Vice President Gene McBride says. “It’s that belief that constantly inspires our sales agents to reach new heights.” The year 2005 was another outstanding one for the SPJST history books. Preliminary reports indicate that more than 3,500 applications were written in 2005. “That’s incredible,” says Vice President McBride. “Whenever I think about how far we have come in the last few years, I get a huge feeling of pride.” SPJST’s sales have gone over the 3,000 mark for the past three consecutive years. “Anytime a sales team can exceed its goal by 1,000 applications — that’s remarkable,” Vice President McBride points out. The SPJST goal in 2005 was 2,500 applications written. “Thank you to all agents who

made this happen,” he says. “Every agent is important to us—whether he or she writes one application or 200 applications.
“I also want to thank our lodges and youth clubs, Home Office personnel, directors, and officers,” Vice President McBride states. “We owe all of the program’s success to our members who constantly support SPJST and our membership programs.” With the beginning of a new year comes a new membership campaign. “And, it’s as exciting as a Hollywood movie set,” Brother McBride states. Like previous years, the program is designed so everyone can win—lodges, lodge officers, districts, sales agents, lodge members, youth clubs, youth club members, DYCs, youth leaders, and district youth clubs. The program is about all members coming together and working as one big team for SPJST.

Department will maintain all membership recruitment records, and progress reports will be posted monthly in the Vestnik. The membership program is loaded with incentives for lodges and youth clubs, sales agents, lodge officers, and lodge members — both old and young. Parts of the 2006 incentive program are outlined below. SPJST Home Office representatives will present complete program details at each lodge and youth club around the state. Application Goal The statewide goal for SPJST is 2,625 applications written for the year January 1, 2006, through December 31, 2006. This number reflects a five percent increase over the 2005 goal. The state must meet the 2,625 application goal and

the lodge must achieve its individual lodge goal before any of the incentives listed are awarded. District Incentive When SPJST meets its overall goal of 2,625 applications written, the district meets its goal, and the district holds two membership rallies, the district will receive a cash award.
Lodge Incentives For each lodge that achieves its lodge goal and the state achieves 2,625 applications, the lodge will receive one and one-half times its lodge incentive amount. If a certificate lapses prior to 12 months, no credit will be given to the lodge or sales agent for (Continued on page 4.)
