by Beatrice Williams As you drive past the SPJST hall in Buckholts, Texas, you must certainly take notice of the gleaming new sign constructed of native Austin stone and cast limestone. This masonry project was designed and constructed by Jacques Williams, member of Lodge 15, Buckholts. The materials and equipment were donated by Tomek Construction, LLC (Duane Tomek, President) of Leander, Texas. The sandblasted lettering was donat-

ed by Cast Limestone of Hutto, Texas. Labor on the project, completed in December, 2004, was performed by Jacqués Williams, Melvin Tomek, and Kristen Tondre. Jacqués was the recipient of an SPJST scholarship in 2000 and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tarleton State University in 2003. He felt it was his obligation to give back to the community that supported him through college. He is employed in Sales/ Operations for Tomek

Construction Inc. in Leander, Texas. Tomek Construction specializes in traditional and unique masonry projects built to last a lifetime. Jacqués is the grandson of Douglas and Virginia Williams of Buckholts and Clem and Martha Tomek of Cameron. Douglas is the Lodge 15, Buckholts President, and Virginia is the treasurer of Lodge 15. Duane and Melvin Tomek are the sons of Clem and Martha Tomek. More pictures on page 8.
