Winners named in 2004 SPJST Christmas Card Design Contest The 2004 SPJST Christmas Card Design Contest included more than 200 entries statewide from members, age six through high school senior. District contests were held at each of the seven spring district meetings. Designs were judged on overall appearance and appeal, creativity and originality, and ability to reproduce on a Christmas card. Winners of the district contests competed for the honor of having their card design selected as the official Christmas cards for the SPJST Home Office. Four designs — representing one from each age category — were selected. These SPJST Christmas cards will be available for purchase.
And the Winners Are . . . The grand prize winners in each age category received a $75 Wal-Mart gift card. They are: Ages 6 to 8: Elisabeth Cowan of Lodge 84, Dallas; Ages 9 to 11: Holly Scott of Lodge 4, Hallettsville; Ages 12 to 14: Ashley Sczech of Lodge 40, El Campo-Hillje; and Ages 15 to Senior: Brande Roesler of Lodge 39, Bryan. Thanks to everyone who participated in this year's contest. District winners are as follows:

State Royalty Crowned in Temple On Saturday, August 7 at the Frank W. Mayborn Center in Temple, six kings and six queens from across the state vied for the titles of SPJST State King and Queen. Winners of the 2004-2005 State Royalty crowns are, left to right, State Duke Mark Siptak and State King Joshua Siptak, both of Lodge 4, Hallettsville in District Six, and State Queen Jessica Schumann and State Duchess Sara Sump, both of Lodge 13, Dime Box in District One. First runners-up were King Phillip Barta of Lodge 202, Jourdanton and Queen Cara Spanel-Weber of Lodge 20, Granger. Second runners-up were King Nicholas Culliton of Lodge 183, Arlington and Queen Leslie Sims of Lodge 84, Dallas.
