S.P.J.S.T. Assisted Living center open house Thursday, March 25 The S.P.J.S.T. Assisted Living center in Taylor cordially invites you to attend an open house for the new facility from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2004. The center is located at 505 East Lake Drive in Taylor, Texas — next door to S.P.J.S.T. Rest Home No. 1. "This is a dream come true," beams S.P.J.S.T. Rest Home Chairman Dan Balusek. "All of our directors have worked real hard to make this project a reality." The new facility — the only one of its kind in Taylor — consists of 24 single and double-occupancy rooms. As of this writing, 12 of the rooms are filled. "We'd love to see it filled up by convention time," says Brother Balusek. Numerous Amenities The new facility offers residents numerous amenities, including: • Private rooms with refrigerator and microwave. • Three nutritious meals per day. • Regularly scheduled transportation

for appointments and group outings. • Scheduled housekeeping and laundry service. • All utilities, except cable television and telephone. • Weekly blood pressure checks. • Scheduled social, cultural and educational activities. • Two-way communications systems in each room and emergency call system in each bath. • Individually climate controlled heating and air-conditioning units in each room • Library, game room and lobby with fireplace. "We're excited and proud to be a part of this project which will provide a wonderful service to this community," says S.P.J.S.T. Rest Home Administrator Woody Richards. SPJST scholarship fund drive tally closing in on goa! The SPJST's annual 100 Pennies Scholarship Fund Drive that commenced on October 1 is closing in on its goal. Through the end of February, a total of 707 donations totaling $12,964.47. The goal of the the drive is to raise $16,000 through the end of this month. A total of $6,209.50 in memorial donations were received during the period. Thank you for your generous donations to the SPJST 100 Pennies Scholarship Fund Drive. Because of your generosity, many young SPJST Members will be able to attend or continue with college.
